Wrexial, the Risen DeepOur fearless leader, out for vengeance, shenanigans, and general acceptance from his peers. At 5/8 he's hard to knock down, and when he connects for some damage we get to steal an instant or sorcery from our victim's graveyard for free. Islandwalk and Swampwalk make poking opponents that much easier, especially against blue and black players.
Inkwell Leviathan
This guy is more here for flavor than anything else. He's big, he's beefy, he's got shroud and evasion. Most importantly, he has a mild fishy scent.
Avatar of Woe
This deck has plenty of mill, so AoT will frequently just be for a beefy dude with evasion that can tap to snipe a creature every turn - even those pesky regenerators.
Body Double
One of the many creatures I classify as "Stealy Wheely Automobiley" aka, Grand Theft Graveyard. Pretty simple, takes advantage of all the creatures that we'll be dumping into the graveyard by becoming one of them.
Consuming Aberration
Beef as heck in the mid to late game, this guy also lets us mill every time we cast a spell. Can swing for a kill pretty easily if given the chance.
Diluvian Primordial
Let's us use Wrexial's spell-stealing effect on all our opponents on cast, and is a nice 5/5 flyer that we can use to block or sneak in some damage. Nice!
Dimir Doppelganger
Like Body Double, lets us copy a card in the graveyard, and as a bonus, we get to change our mind if we want. In a pinch we can also use it to exile a creature to hate on recursion effects.
Duskmantle Guildmage
Cheap Creature, cheap effect that can deal a whole lot of damage with our milling. Also functions as a mana sink to mill our opponents.
Evil Twin
Imitation is the highest form of flattery. Unless the person wants to become you, then kill you. 'Cause that's what this guy does. He must be fun at parties.
Fathom Feeder
Cheap, pseudomills on hit, can profitably block a whole ton of things (and kill them), and can even draw us cards if we want (and pseudomills for more).
Jace's Archivist
This guy does double duty, both refilling our hand and filling our opponents graveyard, also likely throwing a wrench in any plans they've formed at instant speed for a tap and .
Mindleech Mass
When you just can't wait for your opponents' cards to get into the graveyard or even on the field to steal them, this guy lets you steal any spell from a player's hand when it connects! Has a nice synergy with bounce effects, as it lets us steal any spell we bounce.
Mindshrieker
A cheap flyer that can repeatedly mill for , can get surprisingly big.
Nemesis of Reason
While not impressive offensively, Opponent of Logic has a solid 7 toughness, and mills 10 on attack. At 5 cmc, it curves nicely into our general. Since its mill procs on attack, Wrexial can steal instants and sorceries that NoR just milled. Leviathan buddy power!
Notion Thief
That's a nice card draw spell that my opponent just played. What if I was the one that just played it? This guy gives us some surprise draw power, and turns all our Windfall effects into "I draw a lot of cards, y'all discard your hands". Neato.
Oblivion Sower
Takes advantage of the cards we might exile by letting us ramp with our opponents' exiled lands. If nothing else, it's a 5/8 that pseudomills 4.
Scourge of Fleets
A fellow Kraken like our loveable Cthulhu, our fishy friend is a solid 6/6 that lets us bounce our opponents tiny creatures (particularly effective against "go wide" strategies), and later in the game could even bounce their entire armies.
Sepulchral Primordial
Steal-stuff-on-cast-like-Blue-Primordial, Creature Edition! Also leaves a 5/4 with Intimidate behind.
Sire of Stagnation
This big guy will let you draw off most of your opponents ramp, as well as pseudomilling them.
Stormtide Leviathan
This dude is beefy, has Islandwalk, fixes mana, hinders our opponents, and makes our landwalking friends unblockable. That's a lot. As a bonus, he makes his fishy cousin Scourge of Fleets bounce nearly everything (since all your lands are islands).
Nighthowler
Straightforward, is beefy or makes other things beefy using our opponents graveyards. Can net a surprise kill if you bestow something with evasion in the mid to late game.
Geth, Lord of the Vault
Lets us steal both creatures and artifacts, as well as mill our opponents. What a great Undude.
Lazav, Dimir Mastermind
Lets us copy things that are dead or milled, and hard to kill. Hard to go wrong there.
Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker
Smacks an opponent with a Mind Funeral whenever he connects with them. What a friendly and benevolent individual.
Thada Adel, Acquisitor
Another flavor of Stealy Wheely Automobiley. Cheap, and we can steal sol rings (and other artifact paraphernalia) if we're quick enough.
