Why has nobody been excited about Vryn Wingmare?? It's Thalia, Guardian of Thraben That flies! White looks strong in origins and Death and Taxes can be very powerful if done right!
Here are a few key cards and a description of what they do for the deck:
White:Vryn Wingmare: If you have even one out it can destroy control. It will become the main target on the board the instant it is played. It has evasion and taxes opponents.
Archangel of Tithes: I love this card even more than Vryn Wingmare. This card is great. Little hard to cast with the blue splash but i haven't had any problems.
Spirit of the Labyrinth: Really good against control
Eidolon of Rhetoric: In the board but great against control and burn or aggro
Knight of the White Orchid: What a great reprint. Play big stuff faster and get a 2/2 for 2. I love it.
Oppressive Rays
: 1 mana pseudo-removal is fantastic if I have a Vryn Wingmare out. Nuff said.
Wingmate Roc: Super good evasion and lifegain. This provides a TON of power for 5 mana. It is great for finishing the opponent or block some annoying larger creatures.
Kytheon, Hero of Akros
: Really just in to try him out and lower the curve
Oppressive Rays
: Great at taxing and locking down activated abilities while Wingmare is out
Swift Reckoning
: Good at sorcery... Great at instant. In this deck it is a little hard to turn on but when it is it is crazy good
Blue: Mostly splashing for
Icefall Regent
and
Disperse
I originally had blue for
Dissolve
and such but the only card that actually helped the matches were Icefall and disperse.
Icefall Regent
: A Tax dragon if you will! Splashed just to try this guy and have stayed the course after seeing how well he plays with Wingmare and the Angel. WOW
Disperse
: Cheap, efficient, and hits many things on the board. Flickerwisp would be better but what are you going to do.
