Maybeboard

Considering Fork and Reverberate as anti-counter magic, as well as Dualcaster Mage and for this reason I might bring back the Heat Shimmer / Twinflame combos, especially because the deck has some creatures in it now; or at least more than when I started it.

Currently the deck needs more board wipes and blockers; protection, because life goes down quick. Efficient card draw cards may be to plentiful as the inefficient card draw from Xantcha is fairly reliable. Considering Blasphemous Act and Damnation although the later is pretty pricey. also Crux of Fate and Arcbond .

So the idea is to ditch Worldgorger Dragon and then revive it with Animate Dead , Dance of the Dead or Necromancy . Worldgorger temporarily removes the dance, causing the dragon to die and the dance to return, which can be re-attached to the dragon, while within the cycle I can tap for infinite mana and activate xantcha for draw, until that person dies then xantcha returns under my control without her enter the battlefield triger to give her to someone else. But if I can draw Comet Storm or if I have a land that can deal damage under my control it's an instant win, or if I can stop the "Dragon Dance" with a kill spell or with a creature in my graveyard to connect to the dance instead of the dragon (thus stopping the dragon dance) or with by exiling the dragon from my graveyard I can play Ribbons and other sorcery speed stuff, because you can't cast non-instant speed stuff during the dance.

Otherwise I create a draw by creating a never-ending loop that no player can stop; thus the dragon consumes the world. This can actually be done on turn 1 with a dual land + Dark Ritual + Entomb + dance into a Comet Storm but odds are that won't happen, especially with my limited mana base.

Removed the Dualcaster Mage combo for Leyline of the Void + Helm of Obedience but I'm still not very happy with it. Might consider taking out secondary combo all together and just focus more on discard/control, as I can't find a combo that fits well and wins the game on the spot.

Changes so far:

Worn Powerstone -> Mana Crypt

Jeweled Amulet -> Fellwar Stone

Dark Tutelage -> Phyrexian Arena

Fractured Powerstone -> Wayfarer's Bauble

Chain of Smog -> Waste Not

Twinflame -> Leyline of the Void

Dualcaster Mage -> Helm of Obedience

Burnout -> Pyroblast burnout maybe still good?

Duress -> Codex Shredder

Last Laugh -> Gonti, Lord of Luxury

Pyroclasm -> Comet Storm

Ambition's Cost -> Diabolic Tutor

Ancient Craving -> Demonic Tutor

Last One Standing -> Vampiric Tutor last one standing is still pretty deece

Skeletal Scrying -> Reanimate

Vessel of Volatility -> ???

Arguel's Blood Fast   -> Bolas's Citadel

Overmaster -> Fire Covenant

Sweltering Suns -> Imp's Mischief

Pestilence -> Last One Standing

Jeweled Amulet feels bad on turn 6, when typically my win timer is turn 5-7 :/

I think I need more and better ramp, though the fact that xantcha almost always must be cast means that the win will always come a bit late, so interactivity is a must.

If you play lands that do damage they come back untapped in the worldgorger combo, and can be used at instant speed with your infinite mana resulting in infinite damage, but they need to be in play by the time you do the dance because you can't play them during the combo.

Bolas's Citadel is really strong if you can ramp it out, the deck definitely needs more ramp.
