Enchantment (3)

Instant (2)

Sorcery (3)

The deck revolves around a 2 creatures at the cost of 1 idea.

Human creatures, who create Zombie tokens when they die, is the main focus and plan of this deck led by Xathrid Necromancer. I will always be swinging, trading creatures and getting a zombie in return is what I want, and I will not shy away from attacking in the face of death.

With plenty of removal in the form of Tragic Slip, Doom Blade, and Banisher Priest I will be able to get big threats out of the way of my slightly smaller tokens and swing without too many chump attackers.

Frontline Medic takes advantage of all the tokens that will be swinging. Ready / Willing can be extremely helpful, especially if I manage to swing with plenty of tokens, wipe my opponents field, and gain a hefty chunk of life in the process. This card can be the potential game winner.

Looking for some overall response to the deck, any kind of recommendations or comments on synergy etc. etc., and especially any card recommendations!

Updates Add

Okay, between the play-testing this weekend at FNM and the SCG Classic in Lansing I got some great ideas about where this deck was headed and what needed to be changed.

Without further ado!

+4 Champion of the Parish, +4 Cartel Aristocrat

-- I actually made these changes before the tournament and I'm glad I did. Between all the beefed up Champion of the Parish's I managed to hit and the ability to sac my own creatures instead of losing them to removal or even to go in for an unblockable swing Cartel Aristocrat was a gem. I sent both Knight of Glory and Knight of Infamy to the sideboard as well as docked them both down to 3. They are more of a side-in based on the deck I'm playing and I'm thinking I will remove them when I get some other cards I'm thinking will fit better (ahem, Fiendslayer Paladin ahem)

No more Green splash! -1 Putrefy, -3 Sunpetal Grove

-- I only hit the Ready once and other times I was wishing I had another Swamp instead of the Sunpetal Grove. Time to leave that behind.

+3 Banisher Priest, +3 Imposing Sovereign

-- This i did at the behest of those who commented below, and it's the right move. Being able to wipe out a big threat with Banisher Priest as well as getting another creature human drop is great. And Imposing Sovereign (2 MB, 1 SB) will be great to keep blockers out of my way early and I can SB in a third against heavy aggro decks.

-3 Intangible Virtue, -1 Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, -1 Precinct Captain, -2 Silverblade Paladin

-- These needed to go because they were either not getting use (Intangible Virtue & Mikaeus, the Unhallowed) or there were better cards for the deck than them (Precinct and Silverblade).

I need to acquire 4 Isolated Chapels and 4 Godless Shrinefoils to round out the mana base, I should be able to trade for them this week as I cracked a foil Mutavault this weekend, which I know everyone is going to want and its value is at $40 right now so it';; grab me at least a solid chunk of the dual lands I need.

As for Fiendslayer Paladin, I want him, I think it will be a great card for this deck in place of Precinct Captain, especially against black or red decks (obviously). I would prbably drop one of the Knights and sideboard the Precinct Captain in case I needed a slightly lower CMC for some reason.

More suggestions are always welcome, I know there is a place for Xathrid Necromancer, it will just take some work to make him click perfectly!
