Xathrid Loves the Tokes

This deck combines the fear inspiring power of aggro Human decks with an incredibly strong and synergistic mid and late game.

The main gist would be to establish board presence early with Champion of the Parish, Lingering Souls, Cartel Aristocrat, Gather the Townsfolk, and Silverblade Paladin. The simple beginning combo of first turn Champion, into Gather the Townsfolk then Silverblade Paladin to create a 4/4 Double Striker on turn 3 can win games on its own.

After this comes the engine of the deck. Namely, Xathrid Necromancer. While lots of white weenie decks struggle against timely removal (Supreme Verdict comes to mind) this one actually thrives on it. If a player board wipes you with Xathrid in play then they get probably 4-5 2/2 Zombies coming at them next turn. Not a fun prospect. This gets even better if you happened to play a Blood Artist because any removal (or sacrifices from Cartel Aristocrat) net you life while draining them. This is one strength of the deck, the ability to out-trade any removal your opponent can throw at you.

Another great and unique feature of this deck that separates it from a classic white weenie deck is variety of ways it can do damage. Often aggro decks struggle to get the finishing blow but that is not the case here. With a Sublime Archangel in play, and presumably a few creatures out, you can simply use Cartel Aristocrat to sneak behind blockers with tons of exalted stacks or even just fly over. Additionally, it is possible to drain your opponent of life with a sac outlet and Blood Artist, especially with Xathrid Necromancer in play. Imagine the scenario where your aggro deck has stalled out and they have 8 or 9 life left and are gaining momentum, I think most people can relate, but you have 4-5 humans on the battlefield with a Cartel Aristocrat, Blood Artist and Xathrid Necromancer in play. You can sacrifice each human twice essentially because when the human dies you get a zombie to sacrifice as well! This is, to me, exceedingly powerful. Lastly, the deck can of course do the old "smash face" like an aggro deck with a good Silverblade Paladin draw with maybe a Sublime Archangel or something.

Anyways, hope that wasn't too long but there really are a lot of complex and awesome things going on here that all synergize just so nicely. This would certainly be an entertaining and fun deck to play.
