What are you thoughts on Garruk, Primal Hunter and Momentous Fall ?

Kozilek, Butcher of Truth , Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre are game ending when their power is doubled and gain haste. Also, multiple combat phases/double damage are pretty good. Gratuitous Violence , Furnace of Rath are good for double damage. Savage Beating when entwined doubles damage and extra combat phases. Aggravated Assault , World at War , and Seize the Day are good for extra combat phases for more damage. I hope this helps you smash face with a grueling satisfaction.

A Strionic Resonator would double Xenagos' ability for 2 mana (along with ETB's etc) and would be very scary with the Mage Slayer out.

@ Droxium Thank you as well. I took some of your suggestions to replace Sylvan Primordial after the banning. And don't you mean "smash face with 'gruuling' satisfaction?" :-D

One thing to think of (I discovered this the hard way). Polis Crusher has protection from Xenagos. So he's kind of a nombo in this deck.

Distuth Thank you for the suggestion, I too found that out the hard way. I have already cut him (haven't updated this list in a while). I'm thinking I put in Rage Reflection .

Hey, we're Xenagod buddies! I've had a Xenagos EDH deck for a little while now. Always looking for improvements, so I'm gonna +1 just for the fact I'll be referencing yours for potential ideas.

Xenagod is a beastly commander. He's won games for me. One time I was the last remaining player against slivers and I did a full Balefire Dragon , Hellkite Charger , Xenagos, God of Revels power play, letting the dragon swing at doubled and quadrupled power, boardwiping the sliver army, and winning the game. Never underestimate a well-executed combat phase

Nice one.Yes, Xenagos is indeed apt to helm this deck. Have you considered Elderscale Wurm ? He's fat, he tramples, and he can save your butt if you need him to.

Elderscale Wurm has always been on the "maybe list." I'm currently piloting the deck with Pelakka Wurm for the automatic life gain/big tramply thing. This deck likes to knock people out with one or two haymaker swings.

I feel like you are missing out on things like Stormbreath Dragon and Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker just to add to the dragon aspect and possibly See the Unwritten would work for you because the idea of getting two creatures would be amazing and just wondering but you do realize that Wooded Foothills was just reprinted in ktk right?

@cjk191997, Thank you. I've been waiting for Stormbreath to drop in price. As for the others, I've been out of the loop for a few weeks and just saw Atarka on Reddit and new it had to be added. I had not seen the other cards you mentioned yet. I'll have to take them into consideration. Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker will probably replace Sarkhan Vol.

Have u thought of Atarka, World Render? From fate reforged it's 24 damage a turn in the air with trample and it only costs a buck.

I love Xenagos so much. My first ever fat pack I pulled him and threw together and gruul deck with the cards I had at the time. Xenagos was my favorite card for the longest time and I have to start a commander deck with him because he is just so dang awesome. Good build! +1

This is the Xenogod build I've been working on. I know there are 2 camps around opinions on building this deck (mostly to recur haste effects when possible or make sure Xenagos sticks and have enough tricks to pull out a win)

+1 to your deck. Let me know what you think of my build. I went a bit...dragon centric. They make up a good bit of the creature base.

There are some infect creatures that could nab you a win if you draw into them with Xenogos in play, like Blightsteel Colossus or Putrefax. Spinebiter and Phyrexian Hydra could be ok, too
