Nice Born of the gods deck :D. Check out the new hydras in born of the gods. They're really nice. Check out my kraken deck Relaise the kraken!

Voyaging Satyr would be great in this deck because then you can double use Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx

I feel that Sylvan Caryatid is much better than Voyaging Satyr , its over kill, this deck is an upgrade on one ive played recently and I never felt like I needed it. thank you for the suggestion.

Great deck, I really like it :) I have some suggestions though:

  1. Drop a Mountain or two an add a Forest instead. You don't need that many Mountains, but you will reliably want to cast Elvish Mystic on turn one. Right now, you have 10 lands you can't use on your first turn.

  2. -1 Polukranos, +1 Rubblebelt Raiders . Polukranos is legendary, and with 3 legendary creatures in your deck, you will often have dead cards in your hand. Also, Rubblebelt Raider synergizes better with Kalonian Hydra .

Btw: Kalonian Hydra only attacks for 12 with Xenagod, as the power is doubled before it attacks, and the counters are doubled as it attacks. So it is (4*2)+4 ;)

  3. I guess Searing Blood is supposed to serve as removal, but I would much rather use Mizzium Mortars for that job. Anything that dies to Searing Blood will die to Polukranos or Domri anyway ;) And I must say, I really like the Clan Defiance in the SB :)

  4. Try fitting in a Ruric Thar, the Unbowed into the sideboard, works great against Control.

  5. You could consider adding a singleton Blood + Flesh to either the sideboard on main deck, it's nice for surprise kills :)

Thanks die_treppe, I wasnt sure whether is was 12/12 or 16/16, I used to have Mizzium Mortars in the SB, cant believe I forgot about it, Ruric Thar, the Unbowed was also in my original SB, I traded it away for a U/B deck that is working and am seriously regretting it, I'll play around with Flesh / Blood , ive seen it in a few decks and looks like it could be fun

Kalonian Hydras attack and toughness would double BEFORE his counters doubled. so he would be a 12/12 haster/trampler. not a 16/16 unfortunately. haha

I found that, while a very strong deck, had no resistance to Boros Reckoner . However, if you can't beat em, join em! I'd recommend putting a Boros Reckoner in that would be played with all red. Might be a little hard to play, but boy, him plus pit fight is soooo strong! Also, you need more removal, a meager 2 Mortars does next to nothing.

I am thinking of putting Ghor-Clan Rampager in, that should help with Boros Reckoner , I had Nylea, God of the Hunt in the original deck to give trample, thanks for the advice

You are missing the greatest creature of all: Island . C'mon, you just gotta put that thing in!
