+1 for the deck.

I always believe there's a Timmy in all of us. Some suggestions:

Natural Order - Transform mana dorks into big fatties. I do note there aren't that many green fatties in the deck atm.

Sneak Attack - Cause sometimes, 1 hit is all your need to steal the game.

Cream of the Crop - Given the amount of fatties you run, some top of library filtering may help.

Fatal Frenzy / Rush of Blood - Doubling the power is good, Quadrupling it is orgasmic. At worst, they serve as redundancy for Xenagos.

Seize the Day - Now that your creature is all pumped up, why not take an additional 2 combat steps for a mere cost of .

A none card related suggestion - The blue card links don't stand out against the green background. If you're interested, we can explore ways to alter the font color to make reading the deck list more conducive. Let me know.

Hope the above helps. Cheers!

Cloudius Hey thanks for the upvote and suggestions. Those are definitely cards I need to test out. I agree with the font being bad for reading with this background. Is there a font you would recommend and html code that you know to solve this?

I've figured out a way around it by just switching to a darker wallpaper. Cheers.

Enral Let me know how the testing goes.

Yup switching to a darker wallpaper is the simplest solution. Hit me up if you still interested to beautify this further with coding. I've been experimenting with different layouts. Feel free to check out my decks to see some of the fonts/color schemes I like.

There's also the famous Spellbinder + Savage Beating Infinite Combat step combat.

I didn't recommend it above cause Gruul doesn't have reliable tutors and assembling them can be difficult. Just putting them here for completeness sake.

Would you consider Hunter's Insight ? It's pretty amazing in this context.

Inkmoth_: That is definitely on my testing list. The fact that you can even draw off hitting planeswalkers is a bonus. Thanks for the suggestion!

Ever considered Berserk ? i mean it could create some insane damage with your commander the only downside is that you'll lose it at end of turn :s

Kiyomei: Hmmm..that's an interesting card but certainly is worth testing out. Doing it on a hydra omnivore seems spicy enough.

OOF 32 Damage on everyone is spicy indeed if your commander is out!

Selvala's Stampede has lead to some truly broken turns in my deck

irishsteel31: I've actually tinkered with that card and have a hard time choosing between that and Tooth and Nail . The problem I encountered is that if I didn't have a big hand, my opponents would always choose free. The only time it would have a nice payout is when I have a fat hand. If I were to include more card draw in the deck I would definitely test it out again.

Nice deck! I personally run Kamahl, Fist of Krosa as the head of a big green deck but this looks really fun too. What do you normally find yourself getting with Tooth and Nail ? Also what do you think of the new Rhythm of the Wild as another haste/protection card?

February 21, 2019 7:37 a.m.

Enral says... #15

imSandstorm: It depends on the situation. If I have one fatty I know I could take someone out like Blightsteel Colossus in hand I'll use TnN to cheat it out. If I have nothing going on I will entwine it for the following combinations depending on the situation:

There's more combination that I've used but those above are the common ones. As far as Rhythm of the Wild goes, I'm not convinced that it is good in this deck because Xenagos already provides haste and is hard to remove. Also this deck doesn't really care if creatures get countered since I run a redundant amount of fatties.

Thanks for the reply, Enral. That makes a lot of sense. I noticed you run some cards to check creatures out of your hand and was wondering if you've tried out Selvala's Stampede and Lurking Predators as well?

imSandstorm: I've testing out both and find that Tooth and Nail does a better job overall. It's kinda hard to find space to cut for them!

Nice changes. I am a huge fan of Defense of the Heart . What do you think about Hunted Troll to go with it? Huge 16/12 beater after the Xenaroid pump that is resilient and makes it easy to trigger Defense of the heart.

imSandstorm: Hunted Troll is interesting but I don't think he fits well in my deck strategy overall. Defense of the heart is a card I'm trying to test out since my meta is pretty creature heavy.

Nice deck. Just wondering how do you deal with other people's indestructible creature? let's say if someone briberied out Blightsteel, and with no homeward path on the field. How does this deck deal with it?

September 14, 2019 12:45 a.m.

Enral says... #21

Ai-Phu-Gyu: Right now the only clean answer I have for indestructible creature is Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger . Getting briberied is just part and parcel of the game that I would have to live with. If people take my stuff I would try to politic or prioritize my target to killing them.

Enral Great deck! I did have a few cards that was wondering why you decided to not run them since they synergize well. :)

First some Xenagos/dragon synergy. Scourge of the Throne / Atarka, World Render / and Dragonlord Atarka. They all seem strong but Scourge is amazing even w/o dragons.

Next, why not run See the Unwritten , Rapacious One , or Siege Behemoth? Rapacious One could get an easy 10 tokens out with xenagos trigger. Siege Behemoth can get around enemy blockers and is hexproof.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to your thoughts!

DivineKhaos Hi, the cards you mentioned were definitely in the deck once but were ultimately cut as I made more refinements. Scourge is definitely great but the problem I've always encountered was that there is a 50% chance I won't get his extra combat trigger because I have the highest life total (which isn't uncommon since I'm usually the once that smash face). The rest of the creatures you mentioned were in contention for other creatures in my deck and was cut as they didn't make as much of an impact as I want to. I'm actually reconsidering Siege Behemoth . For sorceries like See the Unwritten , I try not to run anything above 4cmc as my curve is already high and those 6cmc spells are reserved for creatures only since there are multiple ways to cheat them into play. Tooth and nail was an exception as it is a game ender or can cheat up to 20cmc worth of creatures from my hand into play.

Thanks for the quick response. What would you replace for siege if you decided to?

November 12, 2019 2:47 p.m.

Enral says... #25

DivineKhaos: I'll probably replace it with Tyrant's Familiar .
