Definitely a different route to my deck. You go for the kill with Xiahou-Dun, which is cool. I think I may do some testing Grafted Exoskeleton because it's always good to have another win-con. I used to run it, but took it out, because whiners, but you're not supposed to make any friends with mono-black, ahem Contamination :)

I love Xiahou Dun! One suggestion: Profane Command can snag him back every turn, which you can then sack next turn to get the command back. Kind of like a black fireball every turn.

This is probably a noob question, but why are you running the fetches? You're running a monocolor deck, so why not just change them out for snow covered swamps?

Also, why not swap out Withered Wretch for a Agent of Shauku? Or Cackling Witch?

Hi there, the main reason I run them is simply it speeds up the deck faster. At that point I'm running a 95 card main deck. As for why withered wretch, it's to take care of pesky infinite combos and anything recursion.

Who altered that for you? I need to find someone to alter mine like that.

Mono black is kinda my THING...take a look at my EDH baby, I usually run Xaio, but lately have been partial to Maga...either way the card synergy is on point. If I could afford candelabra of tawnos or imperial seal, they would be in the deck, but alas :( Also yawgmoths will comes out of the deck of Maga is my commander, but with Xaio, it's nasty.

Though my One-Eyed deck is very different, I will say that Dawn of the Dead is pretty hilarious with him.

I'd cut Sadistic Sacrament or Bitterblossom or Reassembling Skeleton. Sacrament is a great tool against combo decks, but pretty dead if you aren't facing one. The other two one blocker a turn guys just don't seem to do much for your deck, no skull-clamp or the like. Maybe take them both out and slip in a surprise Hellfire =D

I would only cut out sadistic sacrament. If you didn't notice, reassembling skeleton and bitterblossom combo with contamination so no one gets more than black for their lands

Maybe Lifeline to potentially get your commander back every turn for free? Hell's Caretaker combos well with Reassembling Skeleton, too, but I don't think you really have enough to synergize well it.

I've never had success with Contamination locking, and is not a strategy that people enjoy playing against, so that's probably why I overlooked it. You weren't running any other degenerate combos, so I guess it's ok to run just one game ruining two card combo :P other than that I really like your aggressive take on one-eyed though.

To head off any misunderstandings, I use the word degenerate as in to diminish in quality, especially from a former state of coherence, balance, integrity, etc., not as any commentary on mental faculties of anyone involved. Anyway, I also noticed right as I was finishing the last post that you aren't running Shizo, Death's Storehouse, is this to maximize your swamp potential? Seems like a good include since you're already hating out non-black decks lol.

Because Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed has horsemanship. Like the deck, +1! Maybe try to fit Vampiric Tutor as previously suggested but otherwise looks good.

What's your opinion on Magus of the Coffers. Doesn't he feel too slow at times?
