I've thought of GDD but I'm already tapping out on turn 4-7 for planeswalkers. I need as many turns as possible with open mana. With the meta consisting of BG energy/counters, mardu, and temur, I can't risk to play goblin dank dwellers. I may test them out again because I do the play of killing one of their creatures and being able to block or chip away. Thanks for the comment and I will definitely think about it.

I was thinking about recasting your Sweltering Suns with it. If you're that worried about turn 5, i think that solves the issue regarding aggro.
Also, i think cutting out your flamecallers would be beneficial. Without marvel, i do think it just lost it's job. Maybe putting in a jace from soi is a better replacement or an ob nixilis. You may want to add Liliana, the Last Hope in this list for early game protection, dead creature recursion and late game win condition (that's if you already own one).
Also, i would like to test this one out. My huge concern would be the mana. You got grasp of darkness as double black, disallow as double blue and chandra tod as double red.

I've tested this deck enough, barely have mana issues because of Choked estuary and aether hub. Chandra, Flamecaller is actually awesome. I like the ability to kill your opponent or wipe or get a new hand. I know it looks weird but testing it and playing fnms with it, it's won me every game I got it out. I will retry GDD because I hadn't completely thought of it with Sweltering Suns. I do not have a Lili but I don't think she's that important. At the moment, I'm running Jace in Bolas' place and if he impresses me, I'll find space for him.

I like the deck, it really shows off all the power that Grixis has at the moment. Although, the only issue I can see if getting that 2x black for Grasp of Darkness on turn two or three-if you can think of another "better" card I would check it out.

Yeah grasp can be clunky but it rarely comes up with stuff like harnessed, push, and spray. Worst case, use it later in the game

You MUST maindeck hour of devastation or you will just lose to Gideon, avacyn trigger on sweltering suns or selfless spirit on uw monument. Hour of devastation gives you answer to abbey as well. I would not play chandra torch of defiance since you are playing passively until you cast bolas, and move to sideboard chandra flamecaller. Put 4 torrential gearhulk maindeck, move out 1 suns and put at least 2 hour of devastation in my opinion. Sideboard will depend on the meta. This deck is very sweet, looking forward to test it :)

You make good points, I've just been lazy updating the list.

Jim Davis from Starcity games seems to agree with you though his version runs cards like Soul-Scar Mage, Stormchaser Mage and Riddleform. You can find his decklist here:
http://www.starcitygames.com/article/35460_Riddle-Me-This.html
He says he believes the deck is good enough to top 8 at the events over the weekend.

I can hook you up with his exact decklist if you don't have a membership on starcity. Let me know.

I guess the only thing I don't like is the 2 Highland Lakes in the main. I hate enter always tapped lands in an aggro strat like this but maybe the deck really needs those 2 extra duals. Jim Davis knows his stuff after all.

Lightning bolt is not standard. This deck is standard.

I didn't write about the bolt. You answered that is not standard. When you say it this way is like tou meant the deck is not standard. The correct way would be the bolt is not in standard. Just grammar issues brought us to this misunderstanding.
July 22, 2017 4:15 p.m.
Donaldfuck you're wrong. He was grammatically correct. you're the one who misunderstood the context of the discussion. The context is bolt, saying 'that's not standard legal' made sense. You saying 'no it is standard' does not. You're the one who is making a grammatical mistake in your response. Now you're trying to make it seem like if walnut was wrong with his response. He wasn't, you were though. Everyone understood except you apparently.
