I'll keep her in just for the lord effect and the fact we can hit opponent with 3 pirates and take control of a non land permanent. I think that is worth testing in the least.

Hostage taker is great in tempo decks but needs more testing for aggro decks.

Ahh that's fair, well I'm a aggro/red player so this deck looks great but with dinosaurs overwhelming the meta, it begs the question...have you play tested against a dino deck? Fought any Carnage Tyrants?

I like the dino match up so far but testing against an unknowm meta is a little flawed.

How's the testing going? Gone up against any dinosaurs?

Pretty well, dino matchup is kinda rough if I don't start siper aggressive. I may need unconditional removal somewhere in the 75.

I really enjoy your Grixis list as I've been stuck between rakdos and dimir for some time now. Why no Hostage Taker? How's it perform against U/W Approach? What would you sideboard in for it?Thanks!!

Hostage Taker is a great card and I would totally go for it if I want to spend money on it. I just wanted to play as aggro as possible and it shines more in a tempo deck

I happen to pull two (fortunately), say you did wanna add em main board, what would you take out?

Probably one Admiral and one lookout. Keep the 4 drop count the same and take a counter out for more removal. Obviously, this requires testing and I could see 3 admiral for that 4th toughness so maybe one rigging runner instead

I like the idea of keeping the mana curve the same. Do you ever run out of cards? I know a lot of people are huge on Ruin Raider right now, but I'm actually really fond of Costly Plunder and sacrificing the monkey token after damage has been dealt or the treasure token from Captain Lannery Storm is super useful, even sacing a creature in response to removal or a killing block. U/W approach is just huge in my meta, and trying to rebuild after a wipe is awful sometimes.

Costly plunder is actually something I'll think about but there's always a time where it's just a dead card

I'd replace sweltering suns with Fiery Cannonade one sided sweepers are so good.

I really don't think you want Rigging Runner in your deck. A 1/1 for 1 without evasion is not a card you wanna be playing, and playing it turn 2 or 3 for the +1/+1 counter is not what you want at all. I just see an opponent playing turn 3 Bristling Hydra and you just being buried under it. Kitesail Freebooter would be better with it's ability to either eat a removal spell or steal a PW or board wipe. It helps your Beckett Brass stick around as well. Plus, your 1 drop spot is very full.

I see your concerns but testing with it, it seems powerful enough. I basically use her for the anthem effect. If she proves weak, I'll switch, thanks.
