MAKE ONION OFFERING

Perfect Strategy:

Card Descriptions:

  • Arbor Elf : Half of the mana engine, along with Utopia Sprawl. Producing 4 mana on Turn 2 can be a game changer if you cripple the opponent's land with Mwonvuli Acid-Moss. Hilarious.
  • Aspect of Hydra : What to say, except that there are a LOT of green mana symbols in this deck? Primalcrux and Khalni Hydra send their regards. Also you gotta love trample.
  • Avatar of the Resolute : 3/2 with reach and trample... can't get better than this for just GG. Funny letters. This card makes the fact of attacking with a Primalcrux and another Avatar of the Resolute a very complicated situation: cast Aspect on Hydra on any of the three and there will be a lot of damage going to land on your opponent's face.
  • Beast Within : The answer to flying creatures. Also can get the fat critters out of Oblivion Ring s and such other troubles. Not a real fan of giving a 3/3 to anybody but me, but hey... everything can be trampled over eventually...
  • Dryad Arbor : Card to be found with Mwonvuli Acid-Moss. This little girl will stay behind lines and can be untapped with Arbor Elf for defensive situations, or can be used to effectively attack with Aspect of Hydra or to even break an Overwhelming Stampede... getting your ass kicked with a Forest has to be shameful...
  • Garruk Wildspeaker : Another mana production shenanigan. This is both an enabler in early game, and a finisher in the last turns. Use him well. Oh, and the 3/3 beast? Never worth it.
  • Green Sun's Zenith : What's better than having lots of mana to do whatever you want? Having it and the possiblity to search a Primalcrux , equip it with Lightning Greaves and attacking by surprise. Surprise motherfucker!
  • Khalni Hydra : The other best friend of Primalcrux. Funny that a creature so dangerous as this Hydra becomes just a buff spell. Well... it can be used on it's own too.
  • Lightning Greaves : Who said "haste"?. Primalcrux did. Dryad Arbor did.
  • Leatherback Baloth : The wall. The presser. The guy that doesn't have trample so won't likely attack unless strictly necessary. Predator Ooze is a suitable substitute, but the 4/5 body is way too big not to prefer it.
  • Mwonvuli Acid-Moss : The tongue-twister card. With a good starting hand this will hinder the opponent's tempo by a fair amount, while giving you a Forest, improving yours. Garruk Wildspeaker and the combo with Arbor Elf + Utopia Sprawl make this viable early in the game. This card can be considered optional but I like so much destroying lands and the following reaction on the other player... can't help it.
  • Overwhelming Stampede : A classic for me, one of the last cards of the original deck I first got. In this case it's still viable thanks to the size of each creature. Also a game finisher if you choose to do an alpha strike.
  • Primalcrux : The bread and butter of the deck. A heavy hitter that just grows and grows. Best paired with Canopy Cover and/or Aspect of Hydra but can finish games on its on.
  • Utopia Sprawl : The second half of the mana production engine. This card can generate broken 2nd Turns and when used with Garruk Wildspeaker, can mean having a Primalcrux out by turn 3. Sweet.

RubyOrzhov: "Elaboration: The comments are a roller-coaster from start to end; they just escalate the further down you go. As for the deck, it looks janky at first. But when you read the description, everything clicks in and the deck becomes a time bomb. The deck appears uncoordinated, but is actually a procedure in a well-oiled machine. I enjoy decks like this, so I thank you for blessing us with this monstrosity."
