Yahenni is one of the most flavorful commanders in the entire format. Due to their cannon story, Yahenni has a ton of ways to build a theme deck, which is amazing. Brewing potential is always a plus in my book for potential Commanders.

And yet, I couldn't shake the thought of "What if Yahenni decided to stick around and keep feeding?". This thought led me to this deck, which has taken a lot of time and play-testing to get it to a place where it feels strong, but not overly so.

This deck focuses on the theme of sacrifice and self improvement that Yahenni emphasizes. Removal is mostly forced sacrifice, creatures are here to either pump out more creatures or make opponents sacrifice more. I've loaded the deck down with board wipes and equipment to make it very easy for our mainstay to swing lethal. Everything in this deck either focuses on disrupting your opponents or making Yahenni stronger, and it feels tight and focused and brutal to play. I hope you enjoy, and feel free to make suggestions!

(Note: Now that it's been about 6 months since I first made the deck, and I've played over 100 games with it, I've got some interesting experiences and interactions to share. 1:Bloodghast is always relevant. If he hits the field, he's suddenly a genuine threat that needs to be exiled, because he can give so much insane, intense value from so many different cards in this deck. 2:Generally I draw into a mix of the three themes here (tokens, voltron, ramp) but on the occasions where I draw into mostly a single theme, the game spirals in my favor very quickly. 3:I've outpaced infinite combo decks multiple times, and getting Blade of the Bloodchief, Bloodghast, Yahenni, and grave pact out in the first 4-5 turns has won me the game every time it's happened, usually before turn 7. 4:Swamp into Solring into blade turn 1, urborg into yahenni and equip turn two, nykthos into dictate turn three, swamp into bloodghast into liliana turn 4 was enough to call the table surrender. This deck can ramp hard and fast, and Yahenni can survive some stupid things. 5:The full voltron approach is GLORIOUS and probably one of the faster voltron commanders in the format. Because of how early Yahenni hits board, and how fast you can make her grow, combined with dumb equips like whispersilk, haunted, inner demon, and lashwrite make Yahenni an unkillable, untargetable god very, very quickly. Blade of the bloodchief is a standout, as it lets yahenni scale off your own sacrifices, as well as giving you 3 (THREE!!!) +1/+1 counters per enemy death. If yahenni hits board and doesn't get killed after getting blade attached, you can drop Inner demon and one shot people. It feels fantastic.

That's all for now, I'll update with more whenever I have a notable game.)
