Yahenni isn't a huge threat on their own but, thankfully, Black has all of the right tools to get to the equipment that you need to make them formidable in battle. What you're really trying to accomplish here is to wipe the board and then use spot removal to keep your enemies on their heels. It doesn't take much and if you can take advantage of another players board-wipe you can defeat them in rapid succession.

The Cards

Lashwrithe/Strata Scythe/Nightmare Lash: These are your bread-and-butter of the deck. I realize that Strata Scythe isn't in the build listed below, I'll be adding it in shortly enough however. If you get one of these onto the field the turn before you play Yahenni then you can expect some heavy opposition. The trick is to have Yahenni out already and then equip before you attack that turn. Six or Seven mana should get you both, don't feel squeemish about paying the three or four life to equip, that's part of what makes this good, if you can get 8-ish Commander Damage through on-the-quick you're doing it right. Double or triple-equip these for the luls.

Grim Haruspex/Viscera Seer: Not a super-win combo but I feel that the utility that cards like this bring to the deck is def. worth having around. Plus, you do want to have creatures around to sac to Yahenni in the likely event that someone will try to remove them. With cards like Haruspex your opponent may have more incentive to remove that card or to try and politic with you instead.

There are cards that I intend on cutting out, like Royal Assassin and Champion of Stray Souls . I'm currently researching replacements.

This isn't the most imaginitive deck that I've ever put together, and there are better decks at Voltron-ing but I feel like the build in protection of Yahenni and their built-in haste gives them some tricks that you won't commonly see on the battlefield and affords you the ability to pull on some interesting wins!
