Yarok grieves within the waste of Bala Ged’s corrupted land.

This build started from my Muldrotha deck and evolved into a landfall deck and now I have restructured the deck to be somewhere in between "Goodstuff" and Landfall. I'm still testing but I am open to suggestions and feedback. Thanks for looking!
  • Advantage: This category is several lumped into one. It is card draw, cards to protect my commander or combo pieces, cards to give my stuff flash, and a few cards that are in their own category like Bolas's Citadel and Torgaar, Famine Incarnate. They thing they all have in common is they give me an advantage over my opponents.

  • Doublers: These cards help double triggered abilities by either making copies of creatures, blinking them, or returning them to my hand to cast them again.

  • Finishers: These are my game winners. In theory, if any of these hit the table and aren't immediately dealt with at least one player is going to die right then and there.

  • Lands: You guessed it, lands are in this category. One thing to take note of is many of these lands serve dual purpose, they of course make my much needed mana but they may also do a bunch of other awesome things. Just pray there is no Blood Moon in your opponents deck...

  • Protection: These cards will protect Yarok from removal in most situations.

  • Ramp: Ramp cards. Very important to an explosive start.

  • Recursion: These cards get me stuff I need from the yard.

  • Removal: Very important. Get rid of threats.

  • Tutors: Get what I need, when I need it.

  • Utility: Cards that are very versatile and perform multiple functions within the deck depending on board state.

These generals have fallen to the clutches of Yarok and their bodies litter Bala Ged’s corrupted land.

Don’t forget to +1!

I got to pilot the deck in 3 games. One four player, one three player, and a one on one game. Yarok dominated all three games and and came out on top. While this deck is not 100% focused on one strategy, the toolbox built within proved extremely useful for all situations that came up within each game. I'll be adjusting the deck as needed and continue to playtest.
