Card changes —Sept. 3, 2016
The following changes were made:
-
removed an island and mountain, added a forest and Alchemist's Refuge
Outside of the conversation of how much land to run, check lands would be a good addition to this deck. They won't break the bank either. Sulfur Falls, Rootbound Crag, and Hinterland Harbor.
I've always been a fan of Culling Dais as a sacrifice outlet.

Also Dominus of Fealty is a great card but I don't know how often you will get to play it. I could be wrong, do some play testing and see how it goes. If you can still use it after turn 8+ you might be ok.

If you are willing to spend an 1/8th of your deck, Greater Good is one of the best sac outlets ever. Also as a quick and efficient sac outlet, High Market because its a lands and it gains you one life.

Thanks for your input guys.
I'll definitely try to get a Command Tower. I'll do some battles before changing anything else probably... On the long run I obviously might acquire stuff like the check lands and Greater Good.

Rancor is great for powering her for merely 1 mana and you get it back if she dies

heyo! Xenagos, God of Revels has nice synergy here :p i see you have some flickering effects, but your colours also offer some aggressive sac outlets: Goblin Bombardment, Evolutionary Leap, Perilous Forays and Phyrexian Vault are also fun to use and your girl will certainly find a good use for them :p

as for cuts Geistblast, Might of Oaks, Eldrazi Obligator (since he only has an effect on cast, not on etb) are sort of easy cuts imo as they are doing something you can do better with other cards: a simple Giant Growth gets her to 7/2 which is enough to steal almost anything and leaves you with the mana to do it as well :p Conquering Manticore is a nice 5/5 flyer with a relevant etb ability. similarly, you have Sower of Temptation but it is not very budget friendly. Willbreaker can be fun as well here but not highly recommended.

Beastmaster Ascension may be good in this deck.
You can check edhrec.com to see what others are playing in their decks.

I personally love it, but I don't think Archetype of Endurance helps with the theme too much.
You can do without Titanic Growth and Temur Battle Rage, since they are a tad underwhelming in EDH, unless you are using a voltron deck. Even then, you could use Fireshrieker to permanently give your commander double strike.
That's what I can think of now, hope this helps!

Thanks for the input so far everyone. I think it's a good call to remove the temporary buffs and go more all-in on other effects (such as blinking).
Keep the comments and advice going ;)
ps: I added Archetype of Endurance as protection, I'll leave it in the list at the moment, but will consider cutting it
pps: if I find enough to cut I'll add the cards from the maybeboard to the main list

Essence Flux doesn't give you the creature. It says under it's owner's control, so you probably don't want it.
Undergrowth Scavenger is a pretty lackluster card. It only works in the late game and can easily be chump blocked or killed.
Turn / Burn is a cute card, but not as good as other options for this deck (like cards that can keep what Yasova steals or can sacrifice them so nobody can have them).
Now onto suggestions. Birthing Pod is a downright powerhouse in your deck, especially once you factor in the notion that you can manipulate what creature you take from an opponent to get just what you want out of your deck. Or maybe you just want to kill your opponent's creatures because that stupid Homeward Path is getting in your way. On the other hand, it's not exactly budget. But Willbreaker is, and so is Trailblazer's Boots.
Here's a strictly better upgrade. Ring of Evos Isle over Forced Adaptation. It doesn't die with the creature and it can give hexproof.

Personally, I would take out these 4 things as I don't see their benefit to what your trying to do
But that's just me

You need to cut some cards? Here are my suggestions:
Split Through Space
Ral Zarek
Sidisi's Faithful
Tyrant's Familiar (it's a big, expensive creature that gets worse if you don't control your Commander. Not a fan).
Also, you should probably switch Life's Legacy for Momentous Fall, if you really want an effect like that. Fall is an instant, meaning you can sacrifice a creature that was going to die anyway (due to targeted removal on the stack, for example). It's two more mana, but a much more powerful effect since you can cast it with a Wrath of God on the stack, or something, on top of being good after stealing an opponent's creature. Or, hell, run both because you are desperately lacking for draw in this deck. Also, look into Greater Good- it'll let you consistently and constantly sacrifice those creatures you steal from your opponents and fill up your hand (if they were of decent size).
Ral Zarek could easily become Greater Good- what's better, tapping one thing three times and then playing the lottery on whether or not you get extra turns (over four turns, no less), or filling your hand with the most important resource in the game (cards) and never giving a creature back to your opponent?
Turn/Burn should just be Beast Within. Rather than spending 4 mana to kill a thing, or neuter one thing for a turn and kill something else, you'd be better off with removal that hits any permanent, including Planeswalkers and land (imagine the look on an opponent's face when you blast his Gaea's Cradle and then give him a 3/3 for the trouble, lol).

This is evil and i love it. what problems do you tend to run into while playing this deck?

I'm glad you like the deck :)
I just completed it, so I didn't have a chance yet to play it against other people. I'll definitely let you know how it went once I've played it.

Needs more ramp and card draw :P
On a serious note, a good edh deck runs 10+ ramp spells and 10+ card draw spells. Your opponents are packing a bunch of ramp and card draw, so if you aren't, you're automatically behind.

I don't see a huge advantage for you playing Dormant Volcano. I would replace it with Command Tower arguably the best land for EDH. Rupture Spire works in a casual setting, also Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds help you to fix your mana.
I would say you have a good handle on the amount of mana. I usually start with 38-40 then start subtracting one for each mana rock. Playing green you have access to all kinds of great ramp effects some I see in your deck already.
