Yawgmoth Zombie tribal

Commander / EDH* Mono-Black

Czxq1

Sideboard

Creature (1)

Yawgmoth is an excellent card that enables just about every direction for black.

The main way I play is to eliminate key threats early and generate card advantage and board state over the course of the early game. Geralf's messenger is sideboarded most of the time unless I'm playing against an opponent who is also racing for an infinite combo. Yawgmoth is a very deceptive commander as the majority of the curve revolves around 2 cmc, the resource generation with this commander is baffling and you'll be incredibly surprised to see how powerful instantaneous -1/-1 counters and card draw are, hands down he's my favorite commander at this time.

There are a few cards thrown in for sentimental purposes like mox tantalite that don't really have negative affects on gameplay (you either get it early or just ignore it later when you find it due to intense card draw). Yawgmoth's Will is another sentimental card and I wouldn't encourage people to go out of their way just to obtain one, it's really not needed in the deck (unless you get an unlucky matchup against an enchantment deck, then you'll need 2 torments probably).

Some of the cards raise immediate alarms like Torment of Hailfire, however, typically I save these for matchups where there is impenetrable defense, stax, general scumbagary that can be expected in EDH and need to close the game.

As of making this list 2 cards are not yet released and will come out in the upcoming commander 2019 set (Bone Miser & Mire in Misery) both are very solid includes for this already very consistent deck.
