Wow. I'm a huge fan of this deck. This looks extremely fun to play!

Thanks. So far in testing, it is pretty fun. I'm still working out the kinks, but its handling pretty well against tier 1 decks. Glad you like it and thanks for the +1

Really liking this deck. I usually don't like the W/U/G flicker decks, but this one looks amazing. +1.

Just one question/suggestion: Have you thought about card:Trostani, Selesnya's Voice? He's a LOT of life with all this flickering. But I can see him being difficult to play with his WWGG cost in a 3-color deck

I hadn't considered that, but as you said he does seem difficult to cast in a bant deck. The lifegain is good, but I don't like the fact that I really wouldn't get a lot of use out of the populate ability since the only token producer is Thragtusk. Thanks for the feeback and the +1.

Excellent concept, could be loads of fun if played correctly. +1 for sure.

I would put in a Borderland Ranger or 2 for some blinkable ramp, but that's entirely your call--it just seems to me like this deck might be a little slow against Zombies, but late game is able to outclass it in every way.

Agreed, if I can get lifegain early, I can typically outclass aggro decks pretty easily. Control is actually its best matchup too which is kinda nice. The borderland ranger seems pretty good. Definitely a consideration there. I wanted to find something that could give me blinkable ramp. I don't like that it goes to my hand rather than the field, but its a possibility. In giving some thought to another deck I thought about Centaur Healer . I think that may give me the early game stability that I need since I can typically cast it turn 2 in this deck (assuming a turn 1 pilgrim). Thoughts?

Have you thought about putting a couple Champion's of Lambholt in it? With all the entering battlefield creatures, it would get buffed up pretty fast

rckclimber777 says... #8

Yea I have. I'm still considering them, but the only problem I have with it right now is that because it doesn't have its own ETB effect it doesn't really synergize as well as I'd like with the deck. I considered making a seperate flicker deck that utilizes that idea though. It may see the SB in case I need it for a quick win or something. Thanks for the feedback and don't forget to +1

card:Conjurer's Closet

rckclimber777 says... #10

Considered it and still considering it. The problem I have with it is that its only one creature at one point in the game. With the navigator I can bounce over and over again and on my opponent's turn. That makes it far better than the closet. I don't see anything else I would take out for it either.

rckclimber777 says... #11

Yea actually now that I think about it I'm pretty against the closet. The navigator, resto, ghostly flicker, and cloudshift all protect at instant speed from targeted removal or from dying due to blocking/attacking. The closet does not. Its a FAR more limited card than any of my others. Thats a very high mana cost to add for such a limited use.

Conjurer's Closet doesn't go with the deck at all.

You mentioned Centaur Healer . It's basically a mini Thragtusk , so I say go for it.

I totally forgot about the Fiend Hunter when I first constructed this deck. I'm currently playtesting it now with both that and the Centaur Healer . So far its doing quite well as Fiend Hunter 's ability to permanently exile a creature can work with deadeye navigator as long as you put its ETB effect on the stack first and then put the soulbond on top of that. Soulbond resolves then bounce after that and its LTB effect goes on the stack on top of the ETB effect thus a permanently exiled creature. Seems pretty good right now.

With all the blinking, I would point to card:Cathars' Crusade.

rckclimber777 says... #15

It could maybe be a 1 of for late game finishing, but where would it go? It's a little mana intensive though and since the idea is to be able to bounce any of my tools as I need them, it may result in me not wanting to bounce a creature that I probably should simply because it has a bunch of counters on it. Still something to consider though. Don't forget to +1 if you like it.

November 5, 2012 11:48 p.m.

With card:Cathars' Crusade, wouldn't the creature lose the +1/+1 counters if they were flickered? That would make it rather useless in many situations - good in some, but in my opinion the bad outweighs the good.

Sorry for a redundant post, I didn't see your post rckclimber777 until after I posted my comment :P

Alright I think I'm going to pass on the cathar's crusade. As nice as it is, I just don't see it really panning out as I need to be able to bounce without hesitation. Often times the bounce is there to help protect against effects such as Searing Spear or Unsummon or even just to be able to chump block over and over again.

I did add Centaur Healer and Fiend Hunter . They have both proven to be amazing in the deck. Please give it a playtest or two and don't forget to +1.

I think you should consider card:Conjurer's Closet. It's a, " But Wait There's More" card. You don't need to spend mana. Just added torture. c",

The problem is that it is not able to save a creature. One of the most important parts of the deck is that blinking in this context preserves board position. Once a creature hits the field, its VERY hard to get rid of it. Aside from flickering a creature, it doesn't really have the synergy that the rest of the cards have. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm pretty set against the closet.

Gatecreeper Vine does the same thing as Borderland Ranger for one less mana, if you still need ramp in your deck.

-3 Farseek , +3 Gatecreeper Vine in my opinion, and I would go -1 Island +1 Plains , so you can search for whatever land you need.

nice deck, +1.

rckclimber777 says... #22

While the vine searches out lands. It doesn't search for shocklands like Farseek. Plus its not technically ramp as it goes to the hand, though you're absolutely right that its better than borderland ranger. I'll put it in the maybeboard over the ranger. I think I might be doing ok on ramp now. Thanks for the feeback and the +1

thanks man

Thanks for all the support everyone. Still working on the Sideboard so if you have some suggestions there, I'm all ears. I'm having the most trouble against midrange at this point. With some difficulty against control. Hardest matchup so far has been Bant midrange. If they get their land drops even my fleet of beast tokens is no match for Jace.

Is Craterhoof Behemoth an option? Or Armada Wurm ?
