Hi! This is a very high power EDH build centered around Yedora, Grave Gardener. It seems like a few prices have changed since I built it (at least according to the price estimator), but it was originally constructed as a $250 budget build.

Yedora returns creatures as face down forest lands. Most importantly, this means that they can be morphed back into creatures. With a sacrifice outlet, this interaction can easily be used to create infinite loops, which is how this deck aims to win the game. There isn't one single combo, or even 10 combos, to explain -- any number of miscellaneous pieces can potentially be used to pull off a win. With Yedora in play, game-winning combos can look like anything from Altar of Dementia + Birchlore Rangers to Lotus Cobra + Mortarpod + Proteus Machine to Branchsnap Lorian + Nissa, Who Shakes the World + Tireless Provisioner + Claws of Gix + Tireless Tracker Due to how many payoff cards and synergies overlap, the classic Ashaya, Soul of the Wild + Quirion Ranger combo is also here. It serves as a great plan B if fighting through graveyard hate isn't an option.

  1. Turn 1 should always be some sort of ramp. The curve is naturally very centered around 3 mana because of morph costs. I decided to lean into this, and it works fantastically. In absence of the typical Llanowar Elves or Sol Ring I regularly burn my Green Sun's Zenith to grab a Dryad Arbor. Turn 1 mana ramp is mandatory.

  2. Turn 2 is where you decide your pace for the game. You can try to power out a very fast win by continuing to ramp with something like Somberwald Sage or Gwenna, Eyes of Gaea. Even Wood Elves into Elvish Mystic counts -- anything that ramps 2+ mana on this turn is enough to allow you to be quite aggressive. Alternatively, a safer route generally involves either double-spelling another Llanowar Elves card with some other utility card / removal or simply casting a Morph card face-down for .

  3. Turns 3-5 Should involve at least one attempt to win the game. The deck rarely fails to provide the necessary pieces within this time frame. However, You may not want to attempt a combo immediately if Yedora herself is vulnerable -- blowouts can happen, especially with Skullclamp. Timing is key.

  4. You always hope to have won quickly before Turns 6+. However, Yedora is excellent in a grindy game. Loads of reusable removal and value from Ainok Survivalist, Nantuko Vigilante, and Den Protector are often enough for you to pull ahead and win in the late game. Due to the "critical mass" nature of combos in this deck, non-infinite, high-impact combos are everywhere. Temur Charger + Mortarpod when you have 10-15 available mana from something like Ashaya, Soul of the Wild will decimate opponent's creatures, as will something like Temur Charger + Temur War Shaman . Out-value your opponents and keep trying to assemble an infinite win.
