I'm watching a video made by commanders quarters on youtube at the moment and the subject is "overrated cards" aka. cards used in every deck that might not need them. One of these cards is Eternal Witness where he suggests Regrowth or Seeds of Renewal instead, have you ever considered this? it makes sense to use regrowth instead, a 2/1 body is rarely worth that extra mana eternal witness costs to cast. Craterhoof was also discussed now that we are on the subject of green cards.

I know you can do it at instant speed with EW and yeva out, that might made it worth the extra mana EW costs.

Eternal Witness is repeatable, adds to devotion, starts tutor chains ( Pact into E-Wit getting Pact ad naus.) and all at instant speed thanks to Yeva . She's a win con.
Once Regrowth is gone, it's gone. I can use Finale of Devastation to get her back to start another chain. I'll take it out the day they print a better version of her.

Love the deck, I'm thinking of putting it together and trying it out. I had a couple questions for if you get the chance to answer. I have already own some of the cards that didn't make it on here from the budgetless list. What would you cut from the budget list in order to put in sylvan library and natural order? Also I think I will need to slot in Somberwald Stag for my meta, any suggestions on what to cut for him?

Andrew6Gardiner: I'm super happy you love the deck, dude! :)
- Elvish Harbinger out for Natural Order
- Skullclamp out for Sylvan Library
- Band Together out for Somberwald Stag
Though, I'd like to discuss your meta a bit more, since Ulvenwald Tracker and Band Together fulfill the Stag's role.

Thanks for all the effort. Looks like a blast. It's good to see this awesome expensive deck and then find a budget link that manages to remain competitive.
+1 You've done us a service friend.

the newly spoiled "Nyx lotus" from Theros beyond death looks interesting, it does come in tapped, but its basicly Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx on an artifact except you don't need to pay 2 into it. Not sure what the price of it will be on release, but it could be another source of great ramp.

Fallerup: I am not too big of a fan of a rock that comes in tapped and can't be untapped by anything in the deck, and with the possibility of it producing no mana. I am, however, looking at the new Nylea as a possible addition to this version.

InutilisVisEst: Definitely, I'm just stuck on a couple changes on the budgetless version. I also want to make sure that any changes made are not theoretical and actually have some testing put into them.
The above cards are being heavily considered, while some cost-intensive cards will be coming out in the foreseeable future for the sake of lessening the overall price of the deck. Thank you very much for keeping up with the deck and I am sorry I haven't been as quick to update as I'd like. As soon I have a solid update for the main one, you can expect an update on here shortly after.

Nylea, Keen-Eyed is cheaper than I thought, so much so, she could go in this deck right? its less than 5 bucks after all.

Fallerup: It definitely has a place, but I am currently stuck on a couple changes in the budgetless version of the deck. Once I figure those out, I will be making the changes to this version.

Awesome list, Yeva was my first deck i built and I hold her dear to hear.
I'll mark this list and someday I'll bring her back and rebuild her.
Good work, great lists!

Inkmoth I sincerely apologize if this is considered a dumb question, I'm still fairly new to Magic. My question is... Wouldn't both Shroud and Hexproof be immune to Lignify since enchantment auras have to target when they come into play?
February 22, 2020 midnight
Normally yes but not if you bring it out with Genesis Hydra which then skips the targeting step so that Lignify comes in attached to a legal permanent.

Abzkaban thank you so much for taking the time to try and explain it to me. Unfortunately I still don't understand it, but I appreciate your help all the same!

Haha! No problem. Check the rulings for Genesis Hydra in the gatherer. The way that’s worded might help you understand.

Sweet deck!
How would this budget build compare to a $200 dollar Yisan cEDH deck? I want to build this for the uniqueness but fear it might be too slow for my playgroup (Curiosity Control, T&T Hulk, Niv Mizzet, and Derevi Stax).
February 24, 2020 6:42 p.m.
Suozi: since the deck relies on drawing into pieces/answers it might not be AS efficient everytime, however Yisan's easy to telegraph and it doesn't operate within windows of instant speed. If he's the dominate one in your meta you'll do pretty well most of the time, since you break parity with the majority of his stax package and feed into your Elvish Guidance/Priest of Titania lines. It also helps that he's throttled by a budget.

Thanks for the response. I just read the budgetless primer, I hope all is well with you.

I love the deck. I want to try this at the budget version but was wondering if you had a list of trade ups to grow into the full version steadily. Either that or a 400-600 halfway version. It's alot to ask but since the 2 versions are pretty different I didn't want to guess at swaps.

Thanks for this - such a great build. I've been looking at building this deck for a while. I play in a pod that is against infinite combos. Anyone have any tweaks to make it still good without infinite combos or are the combos too integral to the deck?

maximuselephante: This budget version is about 2 turns too slow for cEDH pods. The good news is that this is based off a budgetless build:
Yeva Draw-Grow
Commander / EDH Inkmoth
SCORE: 291 | 471 COMMENTS | 38495 VIEWS | IN 91 FOLDERS
As it stands, the budgetless version is quite formidable as an underdog in cEDH metas boasting a 38% winrate. Going up against every top cEDH you can think of and only losing to the ridiculously fast combo decks.
Thank you for the comment and if you like the main version please upvote! :)
P.S. Lmk if you have any questions.
