SynergyBuild: Sounds like a plan, please keep me posted I am excited with the idea, even though it looks like it's going to be hard as hell to pull off.

Soren841: I'd still like to see him try, cause it sounds really interesting.

Literally the only reason for Shimmer Myr is the commander because it's colorless.. and Yeva doesn't do shit for Shimmer Myr

Tbf -- I'd reason that this Yeva's win conditions weren't immediately obvious when building the deck. Similar to a lot of Gitrog lines (many of which are 60 steps+ and have been calculated over too many hours brewing), so I can envisage a world where there's a cool green-shimmer build. Though I'd imagine that it'd benefit greatly from just about... any additional colour. xD
Despite the shortcomings of mono-g, there's still a lot of room to work with - just using yisan alone would yield good results - potentially there's more fluent lines using Krark-Clan Ironworks / Metalworker / >insert dumb artifact combo< loops - but that's yet to be seen. Though I'd imagine that those lists would be shimmer-yisan in order to tutor the wins more effectively than an adaptation of this Yeva deck.

Shimmer/ Paradox Engine allows for mass, instant speed storm, at an insane ease. Yisan, while being better with Engine (untapping Yisan allows for fetching Llanowar Elves into Priest of Titania into Shimmer Myr into Temur Sabertooth or whatever, then keep untapping Yisan to go off until Great Oak Guardian then Sabertooth into infinite mana) still isn't an instant-speed spell, that is the issue. If the gamplan can be Swords to Plowshares ed at sorcery speed, the deck is doing something wrong.
Here's why:
If, just by playing lands, maybe a dork or some rocks, and passing, drawing cards, biding your time until the winning combo or impossibly difficult to win through lock hits the table, respond by casting everything you need to until you win.
This playstyle is Legacy Resetide ( Reset / High Tide with untap effects and a deck made up of Islands and instants, ready to storm until it casts a lethal Stroke of Genius on the opponent). I simply wanted to see if it was possible to accomplish a similar playstyle in Yeva.
You can't build Resetide in EDH because there isn't the consistency of running 7 Resets and 7 Tides (Legacy uses Cunning Wish as a playset for the 7 copies of every card in the deck it needs), nor can it even run enough instant speed draw and untap and ramp to pull it off without them, so mono-blue is out.
Zur can storm off at instant speed using Necropotence and Shimmer Myr , however doesn't have the luxury of doing it at anytime but on their own endstep, making it not a true-instant speed storm, as it can't do it in repsonse to an opponent winning on the opponent's turn.
Yeva, this list, can do it, only given a good hand and a lot of mana, but it can, with GoG and Cat. That was my interest in the deck. The issue was getting Cat, dorks that tapped for enough, and GoG, the mana to go off, and the interaction/protection to pull it all off.
Yeva was a long-shot, but if any deck could do it, Yeva seems like the one. The issue I found immediatly was wincon-lightness and tutor-lightness. The Cloudstone Curio , Paradox Engine wincons of the deck only go off at sorcery speed, so have big issues, however Shimmer Myr solves that, and allows for Walking Ballista , Candelabra of Tawnos (for Gaea's Cradle ), and more rocks to go off. The issue again is tutoring for that, then for the new combos. If this list had the tutor-density that a 3 color list like Zur would, it would work amazingly. As is, it just doesn't get there.
I am going to work further on this and try to get it to work, but Soren841 may be right that this is too difficult to accomplish.
Resetide may have friends in Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir . I may put some time into testing him out. That 5 mana cost is my biggest issue.

SynergyBuild Despite the proverbial wall you've hit while attempting this feat, I'd like to commend you for taking as much time as you have to provide us with some insight.
Thank you for putting in the time to explore a possible route to take my deck and continuing to do so. Comments like this really make me feel like it wasn't a waste of my time to post it and in writing your comment you've generated a discussion that would've otherwise not happened.
Teferi does sound like a wonderful alternative, since you have access to the card advantage Yeva craves while having the artifact tutors green doesn't have that you need to pop off. I look forward to seeing what you do with that and as well as any other input you could possibly have for my deck. Stay cool, dude! :D

How about sylvan tutor or winding canyons? The latter may be a bit redundant with your commander. Just some thoughts
March 25, 2019 8:47 p.m.
channelfireball12345 Honestly, I'm not looking to slot out Brutalizer Exarch just yet, he's been performing really well lately. Sylvan Tutor I'm too stubborn to run and it's sitting in my binder. Something about it being a sorcery speed topdeck tutor is so unappealing to me, especially when I am storming off and I need an actual solution in my hand. As for Winding Canyons , gonna copy and paste a previous comment where I answered that one.
"Winding Canyons : The deck is actually not starved of this ability. In fact, if you think about it, Command Beacon being on the chopping block is a really good indicator of it. The reason why is because getting rid of Yeva is never a factor because I always unload my hand in response to that removal and she is never out unless I have stuff worthy of being played."

Isn't Primal Command just a strictly better Exarch, considering that Yeva needs to be in play for Exarch to be instant speed and Command is 1 less mana?
March 25, 2019 9:41 p.m.
Soren841: You're probably right. I will test it out, the sorc speed is so meh to me when they functionally do the same.
March 25, 2019 10:03 p.m.
Except functionally Primal Command does more (MEMORY JAR LOOPS) and is less mana

Been hitting a mana-wall in Teferi, not as bad as Yeva's issues, but not cEDH level.
Will keep you all posted.

You shouldn't be, the best variant (tier 3-4ish) is just a mono-blue Palinchron / Deadeye Navigator / Phantasmal Image / Peregrine Drake / High Tide mono-blue deck that is all instant speed.
March 26, 2019 12:47 p.m.
SynergyBuild: Isn't that the better color to facilitate a Shimmer line?

HardCorwen: That was all the work of scotchtapedsleeves. He hit him up, he's super cool and super willing to help you pimp out your decklists :D.

Inkmoth nah. All of the tutors for Shimmer at instant speed are as follows:
Whir of Invention , Mystical Tutor for WoI, Trophy Mage with Teferi MoZ on field.

Big ones are Harmonize , Soul's Majesty , and Rishkar's Expertise .
But the biggest one- which frankly I'm a little stunned by the abscence of- is Bear Umbra . Great ramp and protection for a creature?
March 28, 2019 9:48 a.m.
-
Soul's Majesty / Rishkar's Expertise : What's wrong about these cards in the context of my deck is that the strongest creature in the deck is Woodland Bellower and Regal Force . Best case scenario it's a 5/6 drop to draw 6/5 cards at sorcery speed (Rishkar possibly cheating something out, which is the only reason it's enticing). Otherwise, it's more often than not going to draw 4 off of Yeva.
-
Harmonize : Something about this is super unappealing. The sorc speed, it leaves no body. It also hurts my curve and cost too much to leave me open and incapable of responding to stuff going on in my opponent's turn, which is why I avoid sorc speed cards unless absolutely necessary, in favor of cards like Sylvan Library .
-
Bear Umbra : I can see why you would want me to try this in the deck, but it's out for the same reason I wouldn't want to try Wilderness Reclamation . I used to care about untap effects, but now I prefer them in the form of an instant or at the very least a creature that can do it for a very low cost like Wirewood Symbiote . Last, but most important reason is the fact that I have a super low amount of lands in the deck. Most times I win with 3-4 lands at most, meaning the deck depends on its creatures and rocks for mana more than it does on the lands. In fact, I usually make it to 3-4 lands before the deck outright stops giving them to me.
Thanks for taking the time to comment, and I hope I was able to answer your questions.

How do you feel about Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury and something like Soul of the Harvest ?
March 28, 2019 7:28 p.m.
Beast Whisperer replaced Soul of the Harvest and friend. They serve no purpose. If I generate 6 mana I will rather be playing Woodland Bellower to be going wide and looking for an untap. SynergyBuild is totally right on Freyalise.
