l13199l: Ideally that's what I've wanted and sometimes my openings were shot down by him and that's just a bummer. I'll keep popping him in back in, I do love him into heavy artifact matches where getting rid of him only opens my flood gate.

I love how you say $230 is "budget". Anyway, Earthcraft and Voyaging Satyr don't add much to your mana production. I would recommend Elvish Archdruid . He's fantastic at mana production, and he gives a boost to any of your elves.

Sorin_Markov_1947 it is actually VERY budget. Apparently you're just VERY cheap.

Soren841: For a cEDH deck it's super cheap, I agree. But $230 is NOT budget.

First of all, like Soren841, $230 is absolutely budget for a deck of this caliber. How much experience do you have in cEDH or high powered metas in general? Any deck in EDH that’s tuned will be at least $150. Anything less than that will usually benefit from upgrades.

Secondly, Earthcraft and Voyaging Satyr are MUCH better than Elvish Archdruid . This deck doesn’t really care about the boost (except maybe to Marwyn, the Nurturer ), but it’s a good cheap mana boost for the budget list. Earthcraft allows any creature you play (at instant speed, mind you) to be able to tap for mana as soon as you play it. This is great when digging for your infinite mana loop. Voyaging Satyr can untap Gaea's Cradle or any other mass mana producing land. Archdruid is good but outclassed. Especially when Priest of Titania exists for a mana less.

Sorin_Markov_1947: The deck only has 15 elves including Yeva, Nature's Herald , which makes Elvish Archdruid inconsistent, that and I don't care to buff my elves with the exception of maybe, Marwyn ? Earthcraft allows me to storm off without worrying about summoning sickness while also becoming a Mana Reflection if I have Utopia Sprawl / Wild Growth on a Forest. Voyaging Satyr is for all intents and purposes a Mind Stone with summoning sickness, but once summoning sickness wears off it's a Crop Rotation away from storming off at instant speed. The primer goes into great detail regarding each and every card choice and this deck has been tried and tested so much that I can assure you that it works as is.

Deadpoo111: The actual list is $1,599.00, which I just verified with TCGPlayer. The budget version is actually $195.93 (TCGPlayer verified as well), but I place it at $230.00 cause card prices fluctuate and it had spiked up to $230 when it was originally $200.

The term budget is VERY relative and in this case. Paying for 14% (230/1599) of the original list's total and only losing about 1-2 turns worth of speed is a HUGE bargain and DEFINITELY budget if your goal was to play this without spending $1k+. Also, please note that a good portion of these cards are typically abundant in decent-sized collections, unless of course you're starting from scratch. BUT, back to relativity: The budget version is "Budget" relative to cEDH AND its original variation.

Thank you both for taking the time to read my guide! :D

Just to put it into perspective, my deck (Sliver Hulk) which is fast combo with an average goldfish under turn 3 costs almost 10 grand so.. I'd say $300 for a turn 5 deck is pretty budget

P.S. go look at Sliver Hulk and give me updoots!

I honestly don't lol. Especially when he further fortified the budget argument with a lot of experience with the deck, having helped and played against it as well.

Loving the changes. I wish I saw more green at my tables, I want that Oakhame adversary

l13199l Thanks for sticking around! Makes me sad when green doesn't get the rep it deserves. Oakhame has been a phenomenal draw engine and has yet to cost me 4. I guess if my meta stopped playing green I'd swap Ohran Viper back in.

Have you ever considered running Compost ? This card has been really good for me with even just 1 black deck at the table. Given the abundance of black in cEDH and being budget I'm surprised it doesn't see much play.

l13199l Holy shit, dude.... I swear, I was just sitting here after a couple games where Vivien's Arkbow did not scratch that itch for CA and I was already thinking of swapping Harmonize for it. But this is so much better, so much freaking better. Green is thee best color, thanks for that! There is a K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth in my pod occasionally as well as Curious Control and Meta Pod Primer.

Got any more 2-3 drop draw engines I'm not aware of up your sleeve? The deck is winning so much thanks to all the draw... Drawing is life. Thanks for this amazing comment!! Definitely gonna work it into the maybeboard but run it live, with a shout out!

I don't think there's much else that comes close, but yeah seriously I call this card the mystic remora of green.

I can see it lol

Try out Heartwood Storyteller this card has turned the game upside down for me. Making me rethink this whole deck.

Thanks Inkmoth. This was definitely what I was looking for. I'm certainly going to throw this together and take it for spin at my play group. But have you considered a staxy approach with pieces such as trinisphere or winter orb? they don't seem to mess with your own combo too much while they stop your reliance on blue decks at the table to deal with quick combos. BTW l13199l is right, compost is pure gold. Anyway thanks for the sweet deck :-).

maximuselephante: You're totally welcome and I'm very glad you liked the deck and thank you so much for the upvote!!

The current interaction package has actually been able to stave off a lot of decks as it is with its lite-stax/control package approach. Trinisphere is super useful and the deck plays quite well under it, however, I usually have to pop it get a storm going so I more often than not leverage my opponent's Trinisphere until I can win. I'm not a fan of having to destroy my own stax piece to enable a win cause it's removal not being spent on something else, I suppose.

I will tell you that running it will amount to some level of success, it's just not something I'm wedge into the deck as I aim to be responsive rather than proactive for the most part.
