This deck would be super frightening to go up against

Monomanamaniac: Oh, it is. Sneaks up on you before you can do much to stop it. The deck recently Top 6 at the Timetwisted 4 cEDH Tournament.

Great changes. I've been telling my playgroup about this deck and that if we ever moved in the direction of cEDH builds, this is what I would run. Let me know how Kamahl’s Will does for you, I want to find a spot for it in my kamahl deck if it's worth it.

Kamerot: It's already phenomenal... animating a Gaea's Cradle WHILE killing a Linvala, Keeper of Silence is soooo good. I'm always looking for cheap creature removal and this just doubles as both that and spot removal.

By the way guys! I have included the cEDH Timetwisted 4 Tournament Gameplay from Day 1! I win on top of Korvold's attempted to win! Check it out under "Gameplay" in the primer!

Awesome! Now time to find something to remove from my own deck for it. Lol

And congrats on how well the deck is doing. Monogreen for life!

How has Fierce Empath been performing? I understand Kogla is amazing and regal force has its roles but I'm curious how good it will remain with only 3 targets. I suppose I'm not super familiar with Woodland Bellower lines.

Robobro72: Fierce Empath is probably a permanent fixture of the deck. Sorry for the late response! But yeah, Fierce has been in the deck since its creation and has enables countless wins. It's always had 3 targets, Great Oak Guardian, Regal Force, and Woodland Bellower were the original three. Upon Ashaya's printing, it removed every artifact line in favor of more creature reliance, thus not needed Genesis Hydra loops, and since Genesis Hydra was ideally cast as the hidden 4th 6 cmc creature I slotted in Kogla, the Titan Ape. The Ape comes with his own line, and removal of a lot of relevant threats. It was for a brief period that Fierce Empath actually had 4 targets (Sep 22-Nov 23).

As for its usefulness in the current build post Great Oak Guardian world, same as it always was, Empath is almost always getting Woodland Bellower, unless I need gas, or removal/combo piece.

Inkmoth you eyeing any of the new cards from kaldheim?

Kamerot: Toski, Bearer of Secrets has been pretty good in the grindier games. In Search of Greatness is also on my radar. All-around, the list has been outperforming itself, so I'm not wracking my brain with new changes as they're very minimal and low-impact.

Things being looked at (again):

Kamerot says... #17

I'm looking at both of those myself, along with Battle Mammoth, although I think Toski might be the only to make the cut for now.

Kamerot: I think Shapers' Sanctuary should be looked at before mammoth if you ask me.

Why cavern of souls? forest is better, because I think the counter is kinda minimal in the deck and a forest can cast nature's claim, etc. also it would make the deck cheaper.

Making sure your stuff is uncounterable is vital for this deck. I absolutely would not cut Cavern. Making a case for casting Nature’s Claim is an odd position considering how many other ways we can produce in mono green...

hunter17: What Abzkaban said. Making key pieces uncounterable are usually a surefire way of winning games. As for the monetary cost of the deck, it's not something I even remotely factor in, as this deck was built disregarding budgetary constraints.

hunter17 says... #24

Ok. So what about consistency? Worldly tutor could find any creature for your combo, and replace prismatic vista with a snow-covered forest. The deck needs a T1 untapped green source imo.

April 19, 2021 2:20 p.m.

Inkmoth says... #25

hunter17: Prismatic Vista is effectively a forest and it yields more mana with Lotus Cobra out, the shuffle doesn't hurt either. The deck is currently on Worldly Tutor and has been since more or less the deck's creation.
