I would have to agree with Abzkaban, $200 to play along the similar lines as the no holds barred version is definitely budget. There are just some cards you can't cut, reducing the price by over $1k already is a great cost reduce to play the same deck style.

Soren841hkhssweiss: You know, the more you guys point it out, the better I feel about how low I managed to get the budget to and the deck is legit like 1-2 turns slower. So thanks a lot for coming out to defend my honor! Means a lot.

Everyouthful THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING MY 100th UPVOTE!! Never thought my deck would even garner this sort of attention, so thanks a lot!!!!

First of all, very cool list and nice write up! I am not the best at giving advice on highly tuned decks because I am a filthy casual and generally avoid the combo style of play, but here are some thoughts I had:
Winding Canyons might be a decent replacement for Command Beacon if you end up cutting it. It still provides you with the necessary colorless mana, but it can serve as an additional flash enabler that is harder to deal with than Yeva.
I always advocate for Krosan Grip . Maybe it is too slow (mana wise) for more competitive metas, or maybe I have just been blown out by Food Chain too many times, but split-second seems very relevant in higher powered metas.
Polukranos, World Eater is a bigger, beefier fighter than Somberwald Stag that gets around ETB cancelers like Torpor Orb and flash cancelers like Teferi. Not saying that you replace the Stag, but running them both together might be helpful.
Heroic Intervention or Spore Frog might be good emergency panic buttons.
Gaea's Herald is the OG Prowling Serpopard if you are looking for additional anti counter spell tech.
And just for laughs... Squall Line + Elderscale Wurm :)
+1 from me.

Hi_diddly_ho_neighbor Polukranos is too much mana. Imo Stag doesn't have a place in the deck either because you can loop Memory Jar but that's sorcery speed. Herald is probably better than Serpopard, and Fog effects are pretty useless in cEDH. Krosan Grip is probably too much mana it's usually meta if you have lots of Food Chain etc.

I'm late to the budget conversation, but I once dropped a version of one of my decks down to below $100 while retaining most of its competitive aspects (although it was significantly slower) and someone heavily criticized me for claiming that the deck was budget. I was absolutely shocked that on average my list was less than $1 per card and some guy was expecting the "budget" deck to mean it was sub-$20 to boot.
I am very impressed with this deck and the work you put into significantly budgeting down the list to make it obtainable to play a similar version of this list.

Hi_diddly_ho_neighbor: Thank you very much good sir, I appreciate the kind words!! Hopefully one day you join the dark side and embrace combos. :)
Winding Canyons : The deck is actually not starved of this ability. In fact, if you think about it, Command Beacon being on the chopping block is a really good indicator of it. The reason why is because getting rid of Yeva is never a factor because I always unload my hand in response to that removal and she is never out unless I have stuff worthy of being played. That land might be going out for Sunscorched Desert as a Plan D wincon since I don't need Shaman of Forgotten Ways to have haste for me to win at instant speed.
Krosan Grip : I love it, but I don't have space for it and it's too costly to merit it as some have said. I also don't have many Food Chain opponents.
Polukranos, World Eater : My heart breaks. He was in the earlier iterations of the deck as a finisher with Kamahl, Fist of Krosa , unfortunatedly Somberwald Stag eliminated the need for both and it still kills Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir and Linvala, Keeper of Silence (which Polukranos, can't). Meanwhile, I already have Lignify , Song of the Dryads , and Beast Within to deal with them. Torpor Orb has no longer posed as much of a threat with the current state of the deck tbh.
Heroic Intervention : Warping Wail has made this obsolete and even when I don't draw it, the deck usually combos off or outvalues board wipes since I can resolve my spells before or after them.
Gaea's Herald : I truly wish I could replace the cat for herald, but as it stands, I play against 3 blue players and it sucks to see a secondary counter which happens quite often actually. Prowling Serpopard is definite security against that.
Squall Line & Elderscale Wurm : Very enticing if it wasn't for their uselessness outside of winning. I wish I could consider it.
Once again, thank you very much and for the upvote!
Soren841: I wish I could do Memory Jar loops. I mean I could but like you said, sorc speed. Herald IS better until you factor how many counters I usually spent stopping me. Definitely a meta call.
DiverDown: Honestly, I was completely out of my element regarding an approachable budget list, cause I didn't know what that was exactly. Abzkaban was kind enough to point me in a good direction and I personally didn't know whether $200 was too much or not. I'm glad of the amount of people that came out of the woodworks to defend the $200 price tag. Made me feel like I hit the right number at $2 a card. I would love to see the lists you're referring to, btw! To return the favor and I am always down to see a new list. :D
I'm glad you enjoyed both variants of the deck, I worked obsessively long on it, that it is just a delight to read all the positive comments.
Thank you all!! :D

Sunscorched Desert loops as a wincon? That'd be sweet, should see if u can do that in Mono G.
January 31, 2019 7:50 p.m.
I'm sure there might be a decent loam package that could do that? Not sure if that's right for this deck exactly, but I don't see why not.
January 31, 2019 7:58 p.m.
Soren841: Oh, it works. Once you go infinite and you have an outlet you go for: Noxious Revival , Crop Rotation , Eternal Witness being looped with Temur Sabertooth and you can effectively loop it. Sunscorched Desert needs to be in the deck, field, or graveyard for it to work and Geier Reach Sanitarium can fortify this as a discard engine.
January 31, 2019 8:15 p.m.
Sabertooth just defeats the purpose :(( everything goes infinite with Sabertooth.
January 31, 2019 8:23 p.m.
The point is instant speed in this context without affecting the slots in the deck (land for a land is not bad for an alt-wincon).
And it also works with Cloudstone Curio . We're talking about when we are at infinite mana here, with flash we can do anything that supercedes almost anything on the stack.

Fair enough on all of those points, I kinda figured you had already considered those cards.
O.K...that land combo is awesome and might be just convoluted enough that my Lord Windgrace lands deck could run it.

Hi_diddly_ho_neighbor says... #16
Oh wait...infinite mana is needed. I still love it but nvm haha
January 31, 2019 10:35 p.m.
Hi_diddly_ho_neighbor: Sorry dude, but yeah lol... Sunscorched Desert is only viable in this particular context due to the nature of the deck once it's popping off.
Don't get me wrong, though, I love all the cards you mentioned, but I kept running out of slots when removing them or even considering them :/

Hey there, I am doing a bit of research on The more competitive decks out there for my Stax deck.
-
So the first question is: what kind of "Stax" or "Hate cards" would shut this deck down or make it impossible for you to win under certain singular or combined Effects?
-
And the second question is about Sanctum Prelate as I am trying to gather as much information about the stopping power of calling specific CMC with this card vs certain strategies, Would you consider CMC ,, or CMC to be more effective here to disrupt your gameplan?
February 1, 2019 5:26 p.m.
Kiyomei just dont run Prelate. What colors are you running?
February 1, 2019 5:32 p.m.
Hey Soren841 , I'm on bant with Derevi... sanctum does wonders versus some stormy decks but not vs all of them of course (I consider it side tech I'm trying because of the majority of fast low CMC cards used in cedh)
February 1, 2019 5:42 p.m.
Prelate is just too expensive. Root Maze, Winter/Static Orb, Stasis, Back to Basics, MLD, and tax effects like sphere of resistance and trinisphere are all very effective. Grafdigger's Cage (also Containment Priest), the new Lavinia, Rule of Law, and Damping Sphere are also good, but a little more specific.
February 1, 2019 5:47 p.m.
I see perhaps I should flex out Prelate and test some other faster cards then to see if they do more work overall :).
(I kinda fell in love with prelate vs stormy meta but it's really specific and slow when looking at it 1 vs 3, you got a point there. Just sometimes deck are packed with more 1 CMC cost non-creature cards or so and it hits them fairly hard when it does resolve, take for example ydris storm. just trying to add to my primer if it's effective at all vs different strategies).
thank you a lot for the info so far though!!!
February 1, 2019 6:11 p.m.
Kiyomei: Yeah Soren841 will almost always point you in the right direction, so I would take his advice. As for Prelate in the context of my deck, if it hit creatures I would say it's pretty terrifying, luckily it doesn't and against this deck, in particular, it's nothing but a minor nuisance that I would rather keep on the field as it would hurt others more than me per se. Torpor Orb is pretty annoying, so Hushwing Gryff is pretty great since you can just time it against an important Regal Force , or Great Oak Guardian . Linvala, Keeper of Silence is a house against my deck, so both her and Cursed Totem are pretty great, the latter being the weaker/easier to deal with. Aven Mindcensor hurts the toolbox aspects of the deck a lot, so that's another really good one. Rule of Law forms like a gate when it comes to my deck, I have to deal with it before I pop off, which is not much of an issue, but the mere fact that I have to deal with it is always a good thing. Winter Orb doesn't hurt me in the slightest thanks to multiple sources of mana. Grand Abolisher locks me out of your turn hard, so it's perfect to combo off unopposed.

$200 is budget for any EDH deck. 100 cards and each card is an avg of $2 for a cEDH deck? Get on your knees and thank him.
