Any suggestions?

I dunno you've got all the good ones, I'd probably just go with a Forest personally

What about a cycling land like Tranquil Thicket , or some graveyard hate in Scavenger Grounds , or Arcane Lighthouse to get around shroud/hexproof as possible replacements?

Tranquil Thicket : it is so meh to me, but it could be an outlet.

Scavenger Grounds : pretty neat, though I wish it was asymmetrical. Terrified of exiling my own stuff. On the other hand I would feel less inclined to have Scavenging Ooze .

Arcane Lighthouse : I've never actually actually felt the neat for this effect.

Tranquil Thicket and other cycling lands are best used in Golgari/Sultai strategies in the presence of Life from the Loam so long as you have the mana to keep the dredge combo going. Probably not for this deck.

Scavenger Grounds is really good, but it can hurt to hit yourself with it. Could be a meta call include.

Arcane Lighthouse isn't largely necessary in a build like this.

My personal input for this Blighted Woodland discussion is that the marginal difference is so slim that I don't think you would notice any major difference if you placed a forest in over it. It just comes down to your preference, so if you feel like it's a nice addition to the deck then by all means keep it. It's your deck after all, I don't think a forest would make an impactful enough difference aside from making green mana to warrant the slot.

I think the green mana warrants the slot in this though

I'm just gonna keep rolling with it. I honestly don't feel like I really need the forest. I think I'm going to roll with it unless I find something worth putting in.

Thank you all for helping me discuss this, if you guys think of something spicier than just a forest to put in I'll take a look.

Going in with this discussion, Command Beacon might be a viable utility land as once Yeva's tax starts going to 2x+ it is really hard to have her back on the field without a Gaea's Cradle or any sort of extra ramp effects.

Deserted Temple gets big mana with Cradle(s), and can filter a colorless from rocks into green

Fuck nvm.. dammit

You would need Rings of Brighthearth in order to make that happen with at least Cradle generating 5 mana to make it go infinite I believe

Soren841 says... #13

I didn't say infinite.. but he has it already

hkhssweiss: I actually ran Command Beacon since the creation of the deck and it only helped once during the first week that I used it. After that it never did a thing and that was almost a year ago already. The most I've paid for Yeva since then was 8, which was fair given the context.

It's amazing on paper, but it never did anything. However, I have been finding myself sacrificing Yeva to Natural Order or Eldritch Evolution , so maybe I will try it again?

Idk, it feels like a cop out to put in a forest for that spot, cause it's been performing so well, I honestly wouldn't notice it.

Soren841 says... #15

Why is it a cop out? Sometimes a basic is the best choice. You don't NEED utility lands.

March 18, 2019 8:53 a.m.

Inkmoth says... #16

Soren841 it's a cop out cause I've never run into the issue of not having enough forests, so jamming one in just because "it wouldn't hurt" seems to be a decision in poor taste.

Wait... so this is basically mono-green high tide? ( Reset high tide where you just respond to your opponent winning by winning, with your whole deck being instant-speed.)

SynergyBuild: Yessir! It's quite thrilling to play too.

You've never had a hand with all utility lands or only 1 forest and only artifact ramp and wished you just had 1 more green? Seems hard to believe

Soren841: Totally, so I mulliganed.

March 18, 2019 10:46 a.m.

Inkmoth says... #21

I've had that happened to me at least one other time and it was when Myriad Landscape was in the deck, so I was able to get out of it, albeit slowly and inefficiently.

March 18, 2019 10:49 a.m.

Soren841 says... #22

Ok but imagine u just didn't have it happen. Mulligans aren't solutions they're negative effects

Soren841: You're relentless lol. Tell you what, if it ever bites me in the ass, even a little bit, I will gladly remove it and you'll be the first to know about it. I just think this decision isn't a make it or break it for the deck.

March 18, 2019 11:50 a.m.

Soren841 says... #24

But it is optimal! ;) and haha yes I'm known for being relentless

Soren841: Hey, you're passionate. Nothing wrong with that. I know your suggestions are in the vein of making the deck as optimal as possible and for that I am eternally grateful. This goes for all of you who decided to partake in this discussion.
