Booo! Another broken Yidris deck! Wait... this deck has nothing to do with Yidris. Welcome to the pain train baby! While others send Yidris storming/wheeling/comboing off like a wussy, I understand the way Yidris thinks. Yidris hungers to inflict pain, cause chaos, and well, the kinky little ogre kinda likes receiving pain too! Never heard of an S&M EDH deck before? Please, step into my parlor...

This is a fun, janky, 75% power, budget ($200) multiplayer deck built around the theme of mass pain. There's nothing I love more than watching damage being flung indiscriminately across the table by effects like Mana Barbs or Spiteful Visions. Less preferred, but still funny, are asymmetrical pain effects like Kaervek the Merciless or Painful Quandary. Of course, it would be safer/smarter to lean in heavily to these asymmetrical effects (or run white to protect my own hide), but what kind of pyro lights people up without getting a little burnt himself? As the famous gunzerker once said, "One of us is going to die - probably you, hopefully me!" MwahahaHAHAHA! No seriously, Heartless Hidetsugu + a damage doubler + haste is my primo win-con. The dream is to kill the whole table (myself included) at once!

To take me further down the jank rabbit hole, I included a few of my pet funny cards. And to make the deck feel even more chaotic, I included no tutors and no top-deck manipulation. Also lacking are many of the tricks that synergize well with Yidris's cascade effect.

You might ask, why Yidris? Well, Grixis is the best color combination for global pain effects, and Nekusar is overused and too single-minded for my taste. Plus, my curve gets a bit high from all the fat pain effects I play. So green helps with ramp, and Yidris's effect helps overcome the steep costs.
