TL;DR: My post-rotation twist on the Yisan deck going around with a splash of red and a few of the new KTK cards.

As a mostly blue, green, and sometimes red player I've been trying to play with Prophet of Kruphix for a while now in various Simic and RUG builds. Then I started playing with Yisan, the Wanderer Bard and it all came together. The current Standard build of this deck is great to say the least, but I want to try and go post rotation as soon as possible, so that's how I'm playing.

Now, to sum up the deck: the combination of ramp, Kiora's Follower, Yisan, the Wanderer Bard, and Prophet of Kruphix is pretty deadly. You can essentially crap out an entire deck of fatties onto the battlefield in a mere turn or two.

Awesomely though, this deck often does really well even without the combo going off and is why I've been OK only running the 3 Yisans I have. So far at least!

Thoughts? Ideas? I'm terrible at sideboards.

I'm taking this bad boy to game day. It's been doing really well in playtesting against almost every type of deck, but it still may need some work.

Right now I'm mostly thinking about:

  • Sideboard: general advice appreciated? Maybe more reach for Sarkhan, Sorin, and the Mantis Riders? Hmm...
  • Planeswalkers: (Kiora? Xenagos? I think they could both fit, and I'm testing a Kiora, but Xenagos' tokens could be a warm welcome against aggro. Maybe in the sideboard?)
  • Spells: so far what I have listed is doing well in playtesting, but as a Timmy tried and true, I have issues with balancing spells to creatures.

Any advice for getting this thing ready to go would be very much appreciated! Thanks
