Sideboard

This deck is addictively fun to play and it actually works! It's based on the infinite thopter combo interaction from Decoction Module + Panharmonicon and of course Whirler Virtuoso. There is also enough creature power to win with just a beat down. I've been testing this deck for 3 weeks now and finally narrowed down the mana base and removal. It is definitely competitive. The life-gain and removal is so consistent you'll even win my milling your opponent occasionally.

Best match-ups are mid-range and control. In fact it has yet to lose to temur energy. Control can't even come close because the late game card advantage is impeccable. Dealing with U/W Approach is also a joke. It makes U/W Gift completely irrelevant. I've easily taken down U/W Gift even when they had 2 copies of God-Pharaoh's Gift out. Token decks have zero chance because they can never do more damage than what they make you with Authority of the Consuls + Panharmonicon .

Difficult match-ups are the obvious aggro decks. This is where you'll want to sideboard in the Sweltering Suns for the Fumigate and add in the 4th copy of Authority of the Consuls. Making sure you have one down by turn two at the latest is vital to taking the advantage by forcing them into the late game. Can also add in the Thopter Arrest for a Settle the Wreckage or an Ixalan's Binding to deal with a Hazoret the Fervent one turn early.

Piloting this deck well will take some practice. Just don't try too hard to get your combo. You can get it as early as turn five but rushing to it will often cost you the match. Instead focus on getting to 7 mana on turn and cycling through your cards using Champion of Wits + Sunscourge Champion When there are no early threats I will sometimes just use Sunscourge Champion from the graveyard to toss Champion of Wits right into the graveyard. Use Sunscourge Champion life gain to survive and chump to get him into the graveyard.

Will be playing this deck this weekend at my LGS Store Tourny.
