I know it must get annoying with me commenting on your deck all the time. But have you ever considered Campaign of Vengeance? I feel like it could trigger Cliffhaven Vampire and Exquisite Blood like crazy. ;P

Hey man, sweet deck. similar direction to mine, and i've found that in the sac-for-value vein (pun absolutely intended), Bloodthrone Vampire does some heavy lifting for a meager investment, especially with something like Dictate of Erebos or Black Market on the board, one of which comes with the precon. The other thing i've had success with is Breath of Fury on a vamp heavy board, especially if it's topped off with a Faith's Reward. If you've got Anger in your gy, even better. I went with a bit more madness/discard direction, i dunno if that's your jam but it's pretty great chucking Anger, Filth and Glory out to Olivia, Mobilized for War and belting face. Just some thoughts. Happy hunting.

why not replace Sangromancer with kalitas, traitor of ghet?

I like Bloodchief Ascension for consistent life drain and it's also cheap, mana- and moneywise ;)

Darkshadow327 I haven't thought of it, might help the deck a lot! And it's all good, I always appreciate discussion on my decks. :)

bertoftheghostcouncil I'll consider it. I chose a more aggro-oriented approach because I just don't have a deck that always turns creatures sideways. :p I really like Breath of Fury, and Faith's Reward seems really nice for boardwipe protection.

van_963 It's just money is the issue at the moment, I'm not working full-time at my job, so I'm being more conservative with money at the moment. I'll probably splurge once I get my paycheck, however!

ImmortalDawn I'll consider it, seems a bit slow but the life drain is super nice!

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Now that school has started, I won't be able to reply all that fast to comments/suggestions. Also I'm being more conservative with my paychecks because I started working less hours at my job. However, keep making suggestions, thanks!!

Byuante I really like Arguel's Blood Fast, and Vona is pretty awesome removal. I dunno how I feel about the 7 life, but the nonland permanent removal is very nice!

Thanks for the suggestions!

7 life isn't much, even without lifegain, you could use the ability atleast twice in a commander game. But you run vampires, who like gaining life (If you're running Cliffhaven, then you have enough lifegain for him to be effective. Hell, you're even running Licia! Vona works perfectly here)

Byuante okay, great! I'll add him in once we get him on T/O!

If you like the blood fast wouldn't Greed or Erebos, God of the Dead be better choices for card draw?

Thank you for your reply on my earlier comments. I also didn't know if you had a budget in mind when you made your Commander deck.

I would like to say that I did build my vamp deck base off your deck with few off my own tweaks.

I did think about replacing Berserkers' Onslaught with Behind the Scenes because it cheap to cast as well as vampires are going to be small enough to really use skulk.

I also throw in Iroas, God of Victory and Diabolic Tutor

Lord_Rivandere I did/do have Greed in the deck, what I like about Blood Fast is that it can be used a turn earlier than Greed, and is less mana to cast. I'll probably wind up getting both for testing purposes.

van_963 it humbles me to hear that haha. Usually I'm most comfortable spending around $10-ish for a single card. I have been considering cutting Berserkers' Onslaught for something else, I'm considering Coat of Arms or Vanquisher's Banner.

Thanks for all the input!

Like your deck. What do you think about Markov blade master? Gifted aetherborn?

September 14, 2017 6:44 a.m.

Filipp_bor says... #15

And why don't you use feast of blood?

September 14, 2017 8:21 a.m.

Last_Laugh says... #16

Feast of Blood is flavorful garbage.

Triton says... #17

Filipp_bor I chose against "french vanilla" creatures, because they don't have much impact when they hit the board outside of creating tokens.

Also, as Last_Laugh said, Feast of Blood is a rather mediocre card compared to Vindicate and Anguished Unmaking. I'm even considering removing Go for the Throat eventually down the line.

Also rally looking forward to Ixalan being released! I'm saving some money to buy the cards to update this deck so it's updated to T/O. Also considering adding an FAQ at this point, since there are some questions that are always asked. I'm just tired from writing the same answer over and over again..

Thanks for the suggestions!

First of, solid deck. But i'm missing a few cards. Anointed Procession seems obvious. Fellwar Stone and Talisman of Indulgence did very well speeding up things in my Alesha, Who Smiles at Death build and will certainly help yours as your commander is higher up the curve. Chromatic Lantern would do the same and more. Purphoros, God of the Forge instead of/in addition to Impact Tremors would be great, especially because it can buff your Tokens. Crib Swap feels off, a Path to Exile, Mortify, Wear / Tear, Boros Charm or Rakdos Charm could add more flexibility to your deck.

Triton says... #20

NoNeedToBragoBoutIt I agree to getting an Anointed Procession for this deck, and I'll order it if I can't trade with a friend for it. I guess the ability to trigger Edgar is not that important for Crib Swap, I'll make that swap too. Chromatic Lantern falls into the same boat as Anointed Procession.

Thanks for the great suggestions!

Vampiric Rites instead of Greed?Necropotence instead of Phyrexian Arena? What do you think?

September 20, 2017 3:34 p.m.

oh ho ho! I like this deck! Out of all the new commander decks this was the easiest to just take over the game with. Seeing what you've done to streamline things makes me want to start modifying it myself!

The eminence is sooooo strong!

My favorite destruction spell would have to be Pestilence, it would do quite well here if you are saccing those little vampires anyway (or if they are buffed).

+1

It's been a long time since I've been here... sorry, got caught up with school and other life things. Time to get to responses!

Filipp_bor I find Phyrexian Arena to be a good card, I'd cut Greed for Necropotence, however! The reprint is ridiculously cheap!

ForceofNature I'll consider it, thanks for the kind words and upvote!

Thanks for all the suggestions!

after few tests I found phyrexian arena slow. Switched it to arguels bloodfast for instant drow and it works better for me)
