So I've been out the MTG picture for a while. My interest was reinvigorated when at my locals, I stumbled upon someone with a Selesnya deck.

We talked about the deck at length for a good period of time, so much so that I've decided to construct a Selesnya deck of my own. If you any of you don't know what the deck is centred upon, it is the 'populate' mechanic: this allows you to put a token onto the battlefield that's a copy of a creature token you control.

I've decided that the best place to start would be to pick up a Strength of Selesnya event deck, and have edited it slightly so apologies if the deck currently seems unoriginal but that's why I'm looking for your feedback and suggestions! I'm looking to see if there are any ways I can keep the deck consistent, any populate cards I should be using more/less of and appropriate replacements with reasons as to why. There's no meta as such at my locals so there's nothing to specifically counter in the deck, just looking for some fun and be able to win a few games in style is all! Keep in mind I am a budget player and don't plan to shell out too much on MTG so I'd be glad if you kept that in mind :) Thanks for reading and thanks again if you have any useful suggestions! (Bearing in mind I'm still fairly new to MTG so don't be too critical of some of my choices haha!)
