You Can't Stop Cantrips (MTG ORIGINS UPDATED!)

Standard* UB (Dimir)

Dude_3

Yup it's a heroic deck. And its U/B.

Contrary to the generally accepted U/W Herioc, which focuses on pumping one or two creatures using heroic creatures and +1/+1 counters, and then protecting it using protection/indestructible spells such as Gods Willing and Feat of Resistance, this deck is more of a value/card advantage heroic. This deck focuses on using cantrips that are additionally heroic triggers to generate card advantage, and, in some cases, tempo.

CARD CHOICES:

Creatures:

Agent of the Fates : By far our best heroic creature, agent gives us a lot for our mana. It's a solid 3/2 for , deathtouch ensures we get our value back, and the heroic trigger is absurd. Forcing out opponent to sacrifice a creature can and is abused in this deck. Midrange is a ridiculously good matchup for us because of agent, and it very good in all other matchups as well. It's an auto 4-of.

Ashiok's Adept : Arguably the most underrated heroic creature in the game, Ashiok's Adept is an excellent card in this deck. a 1/3 for is a bit underwhelming, but it makes up for it with it's obnoxious and disrupting heroic trigger: forcing an opponent to discard a card. This heroic trigger, similar to agent's in the ways it's abused in this deck often wins you the game on its own, forcing your opponent to get rid of their entire hand. It's not good on its own, however, so it's only a 3-of.

Triton Fortune Hunter : A 2/2 for with heroic draw a card, its solid and it gets us card advantage. A solid 2 of. Nuff said.

Wavecrash Triton : Mainly there for utility, it generates us tempo and allows us to wreck aggro. 1 copy.
