So this is the first draft of a deck I decided to make. I got this idea from sujrondc's Empty the Everything, check it out, it's awesome!
CARD BY CARD
Despise
- You slow your opponent down and take the strongest component of his hand. Not bad for turn one.
Distress
- Same principle as
Despise
, but this gets rid of anything (for those who use nasty enchantments or stuff like that).
Lightning Bolt - Three damage for one mana. Reread that. Perfect either to get small creatures out of the way in the beginning, or to finish of a tough opponent.
Murder - Plain and simple. Gets anything from giant Eldrazis to small Heroes.
Hero's Downfall - Same principle, but also gets rid of annoying planeswalkers.
Stain the Mind
- For those who use combos. It's always fun to see the look on their faces when I pull this one out.
Indulgent Tormentor
- Putting pressure on your opponent, and the fact that it's a win-win situation makes this card so fun to use. Gives you very important card advantage late-game
Mogis, God of Slaughter - This is awesome. One of the main win conditions. Your opponent will almost never sacrifice, so it's loosing 2 life per upkeep, or 4 if you have two of them out. When they eventually have to sacrifice, you simply use Rise from the Grave to get that card! Did I mention Indestructible?
Liliana Vess - Discarding and tutoring. Oh, and a last ability that ends the game. Sounds fun.
Rise from the Grave - This combos so well with any card in this deck. Your opponent sacrifices, you get the card. You destroy your opponent's creature, you get it right back.
Sheoldred, Whispering One - CONFESSION - I am a huge fan of the New Phyrexia set. So it's no surprise that this card is here. And even besides that, this remains a ridiculous creature (sacrificing and reanimating).
BATTLE PLAN
Use some removal like Murder and Hero's Downfall and discard early to keep the board clean.
Put down
Indulgent Tormentor
and Mogis, God of Slaughter for card advantage and bringing down you enemy's life.
End the game with Liliana Vess's ultimate, Rise from the Grave, and Sheoldred, Whispering One!
