i really don't think you need nissa, she's not big enough to be able to end the game quickly by itself, and you shouldnt need to worry about having your torpor orbs or an eater of days removed, that's why you have scavenge as a backup plan :)
the essence harvest in my opinion are here as win-more cards. when you have a 10+ power creature in the table, you are already most likely going to win. on the other hand, if you are behind in the game, drawing an essence harvest won't help you get back into the game...
i would suggest adding some sort of removal, like Abrupt Decay or Victim of the night. Cards like Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek are also good to at disrupting your opponent's hand, while also making sure you can play a torpor orb or a beater, without fear of having them removed

Thanks so much for the feedback! I didn't mention that the current deck list is mostly designed for multi-player and Two-Headed Giant formats. I feel as though Glissa, the Traitor is going to be much better in these formats.
I'll be testing one-on-one soon and I'll use your comments wisely patrice. I'm going to try the cheaper alternatives to Abrupt Decay and Thoughtseize for now, going with Inquisition of Kozilek and Unmake .

Duress rather than Inquisition of Kozilek to test one-on-one, didn't realize that was $6.00 each. :)

cheap alternatives could be something like Victim of Night , Smother , or Go for the Throat

Interesting playlist! I think vampire nighthawk would be a great attacker :) +1 from me

um Death's Shadow doesn't work with torpor orb and i have a similar deck Torpor orb fun
November 3, 2014 9:58 p.m.
and i would suggest Go for the Throat for more ramoval
November 3, 2014 9:59 p.m.
Thanks for the feedback WolfLoL. I'm using Unmake as I have a lot of indestructable in my local Meta, but Go for the Throat is a great suggestion.
I have Death's Shadow in for other reasons than Torpor Orb as it is the best scavege target in modern and is a huge creature late if my health is low.
Appreciate your feedback regardless. :)

I have spent sometime thinking of other ways to cancel the negative enter the battlefield ability's some are Spellskite , sundial of infinite, and Trickbind as well some Shred Memory for the sideboard would be good because you can such for the Torpor Orb you can't find and if you are up against a grave fetch deck it will come in handy.
November 3, 2014 11:32 p.m.
Thanks for the feedback WolfLoL. I had considered Shred Memory but went with Ancient Stirrings for now as it fetches a few other things and I wanted to see how it played out.
I love the suggestion of Spellskite and may look at that if I do have a lot of problems with removal. Thanks again. :)

you should look at my deck torpor orb it has a similar strategy

Oh!!! And Id like to mention Rite of Consumption, something to think about I guess.

One last suggestion would be Hunted Troll its a beefy creature and has regenerate making it hard to kill

I am playtesting the deck with Jarad's Orders instead of Glissa, the Traitor. It's damn good to search for Varolz, the Scar-Striped and Death's Shadow!
November 10, 2014 12:11 p.m.
Very interesting Dusk, I've also been finding Glissa, the Traitor doesn't quite fit here. I was contemplating Phyrexian Arena as a replacement but might try Jarad's Orders
November 10, 2014 5:07 p.m.
I see you followed my suggestion, I am glad of this. I am sure the deck works even better now. I am missing what did you replace with the third glissa, since I am seeing only two Jarad's orders?
November 11, 2014 9:10 a.m.
I did nothing h the third Glissa, the Traitor as I just went down to 60 cards, so I only put in 2 Jarad's Orders.
November 11, 2014 10:12 a.m.
Found another cool scavenge card Force of Savagery, and Invisible Stalker as a creature to scavenge onto due to the evade it provides.
November 11, 2014 7:18 p.m.
Invisible Stalker is a great suggestion but I'd not want to try and do three colors into this deck.
November 11, 2014 10:18 p.m.
Homeward Path and Phyrexian Dreadnought. In case you ever wanna delve into Legacy.

I had a Jund deck similar to this at one point, and I think you're missing a few key cards. First of all, Inkmoth Nexus is absolutely necessary in Varolz lists. I would recommend a 2-of. Putting a 13 counters on the flying, infect land is often a surprise GG. Also, you probably need 4 grisly salvage. I would cut Jarad's Orders since it is slow in favor of 1 Salvage and another Ancient Stirrings. You may also with to consider Satyr Wayfinder, as it quickly fills the graveyard. Not sure what to cut, though. Finally, you absolutely need Murderous Cut. It's just too good not to play. It's essentially the black Path to Exile. I would cut Essence Harvest as replace them with Cuts, since Harvest is a very win-more card. Good luck!

After further thought, I recommend cutting Treacherous Pit-Dweller for Satyr Wayfinder. Pit-dweller is your worst Torpor Orb guy, and you don't have enough graveyard enablers so Wayfinder is likely just better.

Awesome deck!
