The creatures that blow up arties really don't give you that much more value than just having spells that do that, because it's just for one game and once you've used all your Smelt like spells, they're gonna be so far behind that they can't recover, unless they're a reanimation deck, to which you'll lose eventually anyway.

Like 1 or 2 play sets of creatures who blow up arties at most I would say.

shinobigarth,It's just a casual deck with awesome flavor and amazing creativity. Not much fun to just have a bunch of lighting bolts and doom blades and the such. Be like every other deck if it did.

I would maybe try Karn, Silver Golem - auto destruction for lands and can buff your high cost creatures like Reclamation Sage. It might be too expensive, though.

The Liquimetal Coating + Splinter combo is so mean. Love this deck. Once payday rolls around, I might just have to piss my wife off and buy some more cards. I'd +1 again if I could. Cheers!

shinobigarth I have to disagree, he won't, necessarily, eventually loose to a reanimation deck, unless he, like you suggest, have very few creatures. What he has here allows him to swing more or less every single turn. Taking your advice would leave him open as well, a lot of the time at least. A reanimation deck will regain its creatures, but that is only a problem if he can't attack in the meantime, whilst they are not there. Also, they are cannon fodder. They can block, and keep people away from his throat until he gets his combo going. Life, and especially magic, does not have a "right" or "wrong". Has Dredgar said, this is a casual deck, it is meant to be FUN to play. I am certain that this deck would kick some major ass, and I am even more sure, that it won't necessarily eventually lose to anything. Nothing is certain, in a game of chance, which MTG is.

I understand, this is not a competitive deck at all, my bad.

Snap157, thank you for your insights, as always. Inreally appreciate your ideas and your positive tone. I think you're right about glissa, but I don't want you to be :) I really like her in there, and it always feel so cool having a legend in your deck. So it can have a "sort of commander"' but I do want more room for myr landshapers. It's just that I really like having her reusable destruction... oh, descisions descisions! I think I'm gonna try and make room for a few forges. They might only be able to target creatures, but at least it gives me something extra to target all my destruction at :p stay frosty!

mickalopagus, thanks for your imput, dude :) I am considering making a blue version of the deck :) but this baby stays the way it is, for now ;) it used to be mono-red, so there's really no telling. What is this trifecta of which you speak?

Stay frosty, and thanks again!

March 9, 2017 12:11 a.m.

shinobigarth glad you got the message from my loyal army of supporters ;) it really is meant to be a casual deck. A mean one, but casual ;) stay frosty, dude!

March 9, 2017 12:52 a.m.

Dredgar, LupinaFikmo, thanks ypu two :) one thing is getting upvotes and positive comments, but having people stand up and "defend" my deck from criticism. Now, that's love :D! Stay frosty, both of you ;)

March 9, 2017 12:55 a.m.

dukersassin thanks for your insight, dude. Karn is quite cool. I don't see how he's auto destruction, though. I get that if I've already turned them into artifacts, then he is cheap removal, but that's not really auto, is it ;)? What do you mean when you say that he can boost my creatures? Please, do elaborate. I'm intrigued ;) stay frosty, my good man, and thanks for the attention!

Peteyboi, thanks, my man! I'm really happy with this deck, too. That's high praise, man. Thank you even more!

Does Echoing Ruin Work in here. Like if you destroy one of their Plains and they have 3 others on the battlefield will it destroy them. I don't think it does but if it did that would be an awesome add

March 9, 2017 3:53 p.m.

MohenjoDaro says... #14

Hamster2558 No, it would only destroy artifacts. If those plains were also turned into artifacts before hand then, yes, they would be destroyed as well.

Hamster2558, and MohenjoDaro goodmorning to the both of ya, and thanks for the attention. I've contemplated the echo as well. It would have been awesome, if only it worked :p stay frosty, both of ya

My friend! You're deck is #3 at the moment. Congrats!

hardhitta71194, what the fuck? Awesome! I still can't figure out what the ranking system is about... maybe it's to do with traffic over a defined measure of time? Amyways, thanks for telling!

I'm pretty sure it goes by the ratio of upvotes and views. I could be wrong though.

The7thBobba You are right by saying it is not auto-removal it is just cheap, and what I meant by buffing your creatures is that for the price of 1 mana, Chandler becomes a 5/5, Aladdin a 4/4, etc. Thanks!

March 10, 2017 2:12 p.m.

dukersassin th anks again, mate. You're right, it is cheap. However, he can't buff my creatures. His ability affects noncreature artifacts. Even if I made them into artifacts, they're already creatures... but I'm still happy for your imput :)

March 10, 2017 2:20 p.m.

Although he cannot buff your creatures he could kill lands that are artifacts from coating.

March 11, 2017 6:38 p.m.

good call on the Thran Forge - it gives you a mana sink for artifacts. Some suggestions for the deck - Artifact Mutation gives you saprolings in addition to destruction for 2, Seal of Primordium acts as a premptive removal spell, just letting it sit on the board as a threat. Ingot Chewer can evoke for R, but can be hardcast mid-late game as another body. Shattering Pulse can be used late game as a continuous removal spell thanks to buyback. Smash to Smithereens doesn't hit artifacts like Destructive Revelry, but it does deal 1 more damage for the same cost. Tel-Jilad Justice allows some deck manipulation with scry 2. Finally Tin Street Hooligan would work as a cheap enter play removal with legs.

I have question similar to Hamster2558, only concerning Splinter. If you turn my plains into an artifact and exile it, won't you be exiling the rest of my plains in my hand, graveyard, and library since they are all cards with the same name?
