How well does this work?

Ledian, pretty well, I should say :) If you get a liquimetal coating, there's a very fat chance of you winning, but even if you don't, the creaturebase is still decent, and most people run, at least a handful of enchantments or artifacts - oftentimes being necessary for their combo to go off. I don't really keep track of it, and I only play casually, but I think the decks win/lose ration is somewhere near 8/2

If you are looking for repeatable and cheap artifact destruction you might consider Goblin Vandal, as a added bonus you could raise the decks body count higher as well. Overall the deck seems pretty fun and playable to boot.

I'm loving the Idea, and it definitely gets an upvote. The only recommendation I have is to go a little lighter on the mana curve. The amount of six, five, and four drops are a little too high. The deck would be that much better with more Smelts and less Fangren Marauder, Hoard-Smelter Dragon, or Mycosynth Lattice.

Shatterstorm? We don't need no stinkin' Shatterstorm! At first I thought you were just smashing artifacts, but now I see there's some really devious stuff going on here. The other folks asking about the land-removal thing opened my eyes to your sinister schemes. I applaud thee!

If we clashed, I would start out feeling sorry for you. I'd say, "Gee, I don't have many artifacts in here for you to interact with. Who do you play against that uses so many?" I would definitely be worried that you're not having fun. Did he seriously bring a trash compacter to a magic fight?

Once you turned everything I had into artifacts, you'd be able to savor the realization of impending doom in my eyes. What a delicacy that must be! I just make silly tribal decks...

Jafjaf5 thanks for the love, dude :) hmm, whilst I tend to agree that more cheap-drops is always a good thing, I hppen to think tht the curve is alright :) I mean, 1, 2, and 3-drops greatly outnumber the more expensive cards, and the examples you mentioned are all fun parts of the package, especially the dragon is deadly, and the lattice enables some rediculous shenanigans :) but I her ya, and I'm always on the lookout for cheaper alternatives. I'm working out my own version of liquidmetal abuse, and it's likely to be a lot like this. I think Artifact Mutation fits right in pretty well. Wahoo!
