Screw the Reef Shaman , go get four Spreading Seas . They do the same thing a turn faster and draw you a card!

Silvergill Adept is a nice card that allows me to draw, but it's drawback is that i have to pay an extra 3 or reveal a merfolk card. During playtesting, half the time I top-decked into this, and couldn't play it. card:Aquitect's Will does the same thing, with the added benefit of making all my island-walkers unblockable; and who doesn't like to have an unblockable horde smashing your opponent? Force of Will is a card I desperately tried to make room for, but I can't see where I can shoehorn it in.

I would personally lose the Coralhelm Commander for the Force of Will less creatures more control.

I agree that Force of Will needs to be in there, but I'd take out AEther Vial instead of the commander. You can drop plenty of merfolk fairly rapidly with your max CMC being 3, and a hard counter is wayyy better when dealing with things like Wrath of God .

AEther Vial s are essential in the deck, as it helps me to play my creatures from my hand without actually "casting" them - in effect, they are immune to counterspells. pretty handy, as Kira, Great Glass-Spinner gets tons of hate. As an added bonus, I could flash a creature into play that may help me to survive any kind of hate (Disfigure perhaps?), when Kira, Great Glass-Spinner isn't on the board to protect me. AEther Vial is an all-round great card.
I think i'm just going to flat out replace Daze with Force of Will .

Take out the Spreading Seas , for 2x Force of Will you really need a playset in order to play blue in legacy. Great deck though.
S.S. won't help you because lets be honest, 60% of the decks in legacy are blue.

good shout. I might put a whole playset of Force of Will in there, and sideboard the Spreading Seas and the rest of the Merfolk Sovereign .
The whole idea behind S.S and card:Aquitect's Will is to draw cards. Surprisingly, The legacy meta I play against has a real lack of blue in it, probably because we're only casual players.

Wasteland might help disrupt your opponent. If you use it with AEther Vial , you can mess up their plans without even skipping a beat. Some legacy merfolk decks run it and some don't. You may want to consider it. Also, Spell Pierce or Daze are definitely worth looking into as well. The deck looks good though.

Mental Misstep is very useful in stopping lackeys, among other lovely things. if you like drawing cards, Brainstorm happens to be one of my favorites.

I'd drop the card:Aquitect's Will and roll in Brainstorm if you're going for card draw.

card:Aquitect's Will is for the islandwalk ability more than the card draw.

I'd look at adding in some Counterspell s and Into the Roil s to keep up the idea that this is an agro deck of sorts.
-4 Equilibrium -1 Merrow Commerce and -1 card:Aquitect's Will in favor of +3 Into the Roil and +3 Counterspell
