I like Ajani because of his -2 mainly, and his +1 for awesome stuff with butcher. I tried Sarkhan, but I like having Ajani a bit more.

I recommend possibly dropping a land or a Crackling Doom for one more Brutal Hordechief - I realize it's got quite a high CMC but both of it's abilities are awesome and synergise well with the theme of the deck.

CurtainSnatch I'll try it, and see how it works out. Probably going to drop the Scoured Barrens for it.

Potter2003, Thanks for the comment on my deck, could you also maybe give it +1 vote. I will be incorporating a few of your sideboard ideas into my deck, thanks for the feed back.

I don't know if it was the website, but while I was playing this, the mana base didn't seem to be enough

Hm, I almost always get my mana base stable pretty fast. Might've just been bad luck.

Yeah, probably was. Playtesting isn't always like real life. I get three ofs in my opening hand more often than I would care to admit.

What you have looks pretty solid to me. I have a few cards that are worth considering, but I can't think of anything to take out so take these with a grain of salt:
Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is almost always worth having one of if you're playing black and one other color. Especially since you're running Bile Blight which requires 2 black mana I could see this occasionally help making sure you have the mana you need early game.
Purphoros, God of the Forge is good in aggro, especially with token generation, for the 2 damage per creatures that enters. At four cost it is at the top of your mana curve though, and it seems unlikely he'd get turned into a creature.
Tymaret, the Murder King can be a strong finisher if you play yourself out of cards to play from hand and have tokens to burn.
Mardu Ascendancy is a great token creator and playing it would fire prowess, though this might take too long to get going.
Harsh Sustenance is great if you can get a lot of creatures on the board. Either use it to clear a creature out of the way or burst to your opponents face.

bobgar I should probably look into Purphoros, God of the Forge. I'm not too sure about everything else, but maybe Tymaret, the Murder King in SB against tokens. Harsh Sustenance cost too much for removal when I have 1 mana removal like Chained to the Rocks. However, it might see play in SB instead of Banishing Light.

I like Brutal Hordechief too much to say run only 1..I don't know what to say to take out considering he is at the top of your mana base, but if you could put maybe 1 or two more that'd be amazing.. He combos so well with the amount of tokens you have in this deck

I fail to see where you have heroic triggers for your Akroan Crusaders
February 10, 2015 2:11 a.m.
HolyFalcon says... #16
Akroan Hoplites are a 1/2 for RW that get +X/+0 when they attack, where X is equal to the number of attacking creatures. No heroic triggers needed.

Maybe try Mardu Ascendancy? Anger of the gods would kinda wreck you, with the current build; gets rid of everything except Butcher of the Horde and Purphoros, God of the Forge. As well as the added benefit of more tokens. And what about Elspeth, Sun's Champion? Besides the mana, she fits perfectly. Maybe in the sideboard?

I can see the Mardu Ascendancy, not so much Elspeth.

Mardu Strike Leader I say put 4 in, also Wake the Reflections.
March 2, 2015 10:46 p.m.
killer78439: This is a standard deck, Wake the Reflections is not standard legal. This would make it an unlikely candidate for a home in this deck.

killer78439: I'd rather cast a rabble turn 3 or a Monastery Mentor turn 3, and I would rather cast a Purphoros, God of the Forge or Butcher of the Horde turn 4.
