YES! Smoke!! Got to love red pillow fort. Thats going in here for sure. Should I switch something out for Aurification to get around indestructible? To bad it only works until someone Naturalizes it. I do have some exile spells that could take care of indestructible.

Naturalize, Wave of Vitriol, Bane of Progress, etc always can ruin your day. If those become real concerns, countering with Karmic Justice, or Open the Vaults/Replenish normally does the trick - you just have to have them accessible or be godly at top-decking. I think Aurification might be kinda funny in this deck, because in most combo cases, you don't really care if you take damage - but that also works against it - who's going to bother attacking you in the first place? If anything, you could swap Orbs of Warding or Solitary Confinement for it. In fact, if you want to lower you average CMC a tad, take those two out for Aurification and Ivory Mask, but really, I don't think either make enough of a difference in play to matter much. It might be something that still ends up helping, though!

Zimmers_0, no problem mate.
What is the main function of Lich's Tomb?
I understand the security it gives. So is it used to make sure you stick around long enough to get the Lich setup correct? Surely then it should only be cast right before you need it to avoid it causing too much damage. Shouldn't it maybe be replaced with something that can be cast, maybe later, and not cause problems.
discipleofgary73 i think the main difference between Orbs of Warding, Solitary Confinement, Aurification, Ivory Mask ect. is the question of wanting opponents not be able to damage you or not choose to damage you. In regards to the slight difference in CMC, Orbs of Warding is 5 colorless, and Solitary Confinement is 3 CMC, so it shouldn't be too problematic.

0falcon0 Lich's Tomb has a few combos in here. If a player is going to swing big or you are going to swing with Malignus, use Harmless Offering to give it away. This way when a player gets smacked, it will be like a heavy dose of Annihilator. Otherwise it works with Darien, King of Kjeldor and my commander

Zimmers_0 Ah i see now.
How much have you play-tested the deck yourself? Have you gathered much hate with it haha?
Do your friends/opponents still wish to play against you with it? Since even if it does generate hate, people must still find it quite interesting to play against or with.

0falcon0 I wish I had more of a chance to play test this but its only been online so far. Just put the list together this week. But I have done game wining moves before turn 8 numerous occasions so thats a plus. Some left the lich out and vulnerable, some had him defended with Greater Auramancy or Indestructibility. But either way it was followed up by a life total switcher as I hoped. Have yet to win with the life halvers though.

nyctophasm you want Urza's Armor/Personal Sanctuary or Darien, King of Kjeldor + Soul Warden to get what you want out of Manabarbs. The orb only works for creatures unfortunately. Then you could also Pyrohemia or Pestilence without getting harmed.
Thanks for the comment!

.....I can read, I promise. Urza's Armor is probably something I will look into. I hope you win many times with this deck. Good luck

This deck is amazing. No Angel's Grace though? It combos insanely well with Ad Naus, and after you draw your whole deck, drop Lich to bring your health back to 0 and continue as normal.

I feel that Nether Traitor and Zombie Infestation are weak. Instead of those, you could put in Angel's Grace and Sanguine Bond seeing that Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond is a thing.

Have you thought about any enchantments to give your zombies menace?

The_Grape Nether Traitor is a backup for the Lich that self recurs and Zombie Infestation is for when I have a huge hand and need a bunch of creatures. Thats saved me twice and won me a game so far.
SecondDeath777 Thanks! Mean decks are the way to go. A Taste Of Mortality if you are interest in another mean deck.
Jokester1393 I do like the zombie part of this deck, but im not going to build around it. They are cannon fodder for the lich.

Maybe you could put in Conjurer's Closet for flicker effects. If you're not the monarch but you can't get in with an attacker, just bounce one of your dudes and become monarch again.

Ever thought of Zedruu the Greathearted with the same play style? There's also Tajuru Preserver or Sigarda, Host of Herons to get past Lich/ Lich's Tomb, and Kira, Great Glass-Spinner might work too. Maybe abusing Ghave, Guru of Spores's ability with Anointed Procession, Strionic Resonator, etc, but minus the red chaos. Hope this helps!

oliveoilonyaasscureshemorrhoidyou have a ridiculous user name and gave me laugh. Not sure the lich would work with sigarda but like the idea of a crazy green white based deck. I'll tinker

Protection of the Hekma v Urza's Armor? It's cheaper but requires white and for the source to be an opponent's
EDIT: and the art. the art is a big factor. sand magic, mf.

WolverineSR_71 Yes! Thats a great card and fits this deck very well. I switched Soul Conduit out for Axis of Mortality.
oliveoilonyaasscureshemorrhoid The art is much better and it is cheaper... How could someone say no?
Thanks!

I too find Urza's Armor to be much better option, mostly due to it and Manabarbs or Pastilence is a great combo, hurting everybody but you. Maybe add Gisela, Blade of Goldnight for extra pillow-fort and a win-con aswell. Work extraordinary well with Manabarbs and the likes as well.
I like the deck very much, its fun and different from most. +1 from me :)

I normally always run both Reliquary Tower and Thought Vessel too haha. I guess it depends on if you're more worried about mana generation or preventing discards. The thing I always loved about the Library as an option, is it makes "look at the top n cards of your library, put x from among them into y, discard the rest" cards more powerful. So, if that's a mechanic you would pursue, then the Library would be a better option than both the others in my mind. For this deck, though, it would be more proactive against anything your opponents might force rather than working a combo.
