I also think Detention Sphere should be sideboarded unless you know the deck you're going up against, i.e. me.

I got Anger of the Gods-ed with a Soulfire Grand Master out. 27 life gained. Luckily he killed his master and didn't have mana for the buy-back. Anyway, I personally like Goblin Rabblemaster but 4 of the Mentor would probably do you well, too. I really dig the build!

Thanks killayo I was thinking of taking out my copy of Arcbond in the sideboard for a third Anger of the Gods, but I think it needs a little more testing. I've been running 3 Goblin Rabblemasters and one Monastery Mentor for now and it's done pretty well, but I feel like the Rabblemaster is just faster than the Mentor, so I'm probably going to swing over to 4 copies. Thanks for your input!

Looks similar to my deck:

I've only given this thing a small sample size so far but before it, I took out all four Rabblemasters for four Mentor's thinking that ideally, I would be pumping out tokens each turn. did't always work.
Taking the Mentor's back out and putting the Rabblemaster's back in made my deck seem a lot faster. Heck, maybe it was just luck, but my deck has done decently the few times I've played it. really have to get off to a hot start though most games.

lionsfan yeah I've been playtesting and I've found that Goblin Rabblemaster is a lot more reliable. Thanks for your input, I think I'm pretty much made up on the decision. I'll check out your deck!

Replace Stormbreath Dragon with Alesha, Who Smiles at Death and bring back dead rabble masters grand masters! all the masters. Then Jeskai Ascendancy would be worth it to bring in. And maybe a Monastery Mentor instead of the seeker? Maybe a couple and take out a Mantis Rider?

I feel like in order to run Alesha, Who Smiles at Death and Jeskai Ascendancy and really get a full use out of them I would have to run more creatures and tokens. They seem like something I'd try to play around with, but I don't think they'd make the final cut given that the list is mostly burn. Monastery Mentor is a card that I've been thinking of putting in instead of Goblin Rabblemaster. What are your thoughts on that PinkyWinkyBlinky? They're pretty similar, just I'm not 100% if I like the Rabblemaster over the Mentor.

Jeskai Ascendency is really good for its loot ability. It definitely helps if the game goes long and you're drawing into lands.

I just don't know what I would take out for it.

Against a control deck you could swap the ascendancy in for creatures or the charm. I've seen it do work with just the loot trigger.

I think I need the Negate to take care of my creatures. I'll try taking out Banishing Light and see how it goes, thanks for the suggestion killayo!

Maybe an Ojutai Exemplars to replace the Seeker of the Way?

I think I'm editing Seeker of the Way out along with some other things for Ojutai's Command anyway, but I do really like the idea of Ojutai Exemplars. I'm going to try and see if I can fit it in somewhere.

I really wish Ojutai's Command's first option was CMC 3 or less.. :[ Rabblemasters and Mantis Riders really get looked over.
