Made some changes guys. Hoping this will work a it better. Most notable changes is that I took out most of the Celestial Flare and switched up my draw engine to Read the Bones .

Finally removed all Celestial Flare out of the main and sided them. I love the card, but it is just underwhelming in this build. I'm sure I'll make better use out of it in a later project.

I would maybe think about dropping a Detention Sphere , Far / Away , and a Dissolve for 3x Hero's Downfall or find a place for at least two. They are nice anything removal including planeswalkers.

Trust me, when I can get ahold of them, they will find a way in.

Ahh okay, I understand. Not a matter of not wanting them, just not having them.

Some great results! Glad to see this deck win. I'm building a similar one. Also like you, starting with a very budget deck and improving it over time. I just got an Elspeth, Sun's Champion .Unfortunately I'm not getting much feedback (maybe I should change the name ahah).Anyway feel free to look at my version and give me some feedback on what to get next. Esper control FNM (need help)Thank.

Nice deck. But the Gideon is quite displaced in my opinion. And only one Elspeth? And no sideboard Sin Collector? But all in all, I'm happy I'm not playing against this.

Only have the one Elspeth.
I like Sin Collector
, but I don't have anywhere to squeeze him in.
Gideon however, I enjoy here. He is a heavy hitter that is hard to remove. Keep in mind most of the time my opponent has nothing on the field. He is essentially a 5/5 indestructible for 4. He has also won me games in which clinched first place at FNM. He is a little unconventional perhaps, but even if there is a swarm of creatures on my opponents side of the field, I can drop him in. Plus one him giving him a plethora of counters. 9 times out of 10, if there are plenty of creatures on the field, I will be attacked, not Gideon. The turn after, drop a Verdict and boom. a 8/8 or 9/9 creature to the face.

Sadly took Gideon out for a bunch of Ghosts... Obzedat, Ghost Council just serves better than Gideon, Champion of Justice

PartyGoat if you go with the flare, I'd only use two main and side in more for indestructable and hexproof. The double white is a killer. I'll be mixing the deck up a bit probably over the weekend, probably add a sideboard as well.
