Trying to play with discard and working with Waste Not. Need a lot of help with this!

I've decided to switch to trying Ghastly Conscription over Empty the Pits . I feel it will have much more value, emptying an opponents graveyard and giving me an ungodly amount of 2/2s.

I decided to go to FNM with this deck and this is how it played out, sadly not what I wanted... 1-3 overall but afterwards did extremely well in sealed commander with the new sets and winning both of my pods with the black deck!

The first game I won against a Bant deck with 2-0. The first game my opponent was either getting too much mana or not enough, easy win with a pretty relaxed situation, had me feeling good about myself. The second game I lost to Mardu going 1-2. The same thing happened in this game that happened in my previous one, but he managed to pull it back at the end. The third game I played a five color walker deck and lost 0-2. Five color walkers....I was just getting wrecked the whole time. I could barely stop his mana ramping which led to Genesis Hydra for 18 getting a Garruk on the field etc. The final game was against a blue/red burn and control deck which I lost to with 1-2. This deck was pretty interesting, most of it wasn't his cards and the only reason I lost was because he +1'd Kiora without telling me which took down my Master of the Feast that I was about to swing game with.

I disappointing beginning to the night with two commander wins to end it.
