I think you should run some removal over Tablet of the Guilds . Ultimate Price , Crippling Blight , Dead Weight , Murder , and Victim of Night are all good cards that don't cost a lot of mana (letting you cast your extort triggers).

I'd also drop the Basilica Guards for two more card:Kingpin's Pet. They die to easily to removal and can't attack.

You may also consider cutting Disentomb and card:Ghoulcaller's Chant for Bloodgift Demon /Underworld Connections /Sign in Blood (which can just draw you cards) and possibly Unburial Rites .

One Thousand Lashes is stronger than Pacifism , but obviously it costs more and you have enough four drops already. However, it stops cards like Deathrite Shaman .

I think Arrest is better than both One Thousand Lashes and Pacifism .

If you want to use extort primarily then you need to lock down the board completely. That means the higher defence of Basilica Guards is arguably more useful than card:Kingpin's Pet - although usually I would prefer to have the pet. However if you're primarily defending then the guards are better.

You should run Dutiful Thrull for regenerate so you can just block over and over and over again.

I'm thinking of dropping out the two Disentomb for two Obzedat, Ghost Council . This would serve as a mid to late game clean up. Thoughts?

@ ChiefBell: I completely forgot about Arrest . You're absolutely right. It's far better than both One Thousand Lashes and Pacifism .

As far as Obzedat, Ghost Council , are you working on a budget? They go for around $20 USD at the moment. The reason I ask is there's a ton of stuff you can do if you're looking to drop some cash on this deck or trade. Liliana of the Veil , Thalia, Guardian of Thraben , and Godless Shrine all come to mind if you have the money for them. So does Sorin, Lord of Innistrad .

I would suggest -2 blind obedience and add 2 lingering souls maybe even 4 if u can figure out what to take out for the other two. They provide multiple cheap fliers and something to extort with multiple times as they have flashback

I agree with yoda444. Glaring Spotlight is sub-par, since it only deals with a very specific deck. You're better off with Blind Obedience in the sideboard and cutting Glaring Spotlight.

I also think if you're going to have Dutiful Thrulls, they should go in your mainboard. You could use the extra one-drops and they chump Boros Reckoner and Thragtusk.
