The main deck is a 30 dollar deck now that I've chosen to take my planeswalkers out. I've also taken out blue altogether. I think It's a little more streamlined now and will get to the point quicker. IF you like it, + 1's are appreciated!
The idea is simple and effective. This deck revolves around Liquimetal Coating and Myr Landshaper, everything else merely supplements them. In a perfect world you will have one of these in your starting hand, and by turn three, you will be taking out the opponents manna source (or creatures if it's more appropriate).
If you have Elvish Mystic with Liquimetal Coating in your starting hand. Say hello to probable land destruction on turn two.
Of course, this may not always happen. So I've added in a few simple
Ancient Stirrings
to help get one out quicker, as well as Silent Arbiter's in my side deck to slow the game down if needed to give me time to draw it and start doing damage.
Aggro decks are the biggest threat to this deck, so I've put in a few Whipflares to clear most of them out. Silent Arbiter is going to be important in the sideboard if they are running a really strong aggro deck. It will really help slow the game down so you can take out their manna source completely.
Then, I've added in two Deus of Calamity's to bring the muscle (and of course to wipe more of my opponents permanents out).
Tanglewalker
has been added to this deck and will bring some damage to table as most turns will now be unblockable.
Nearly all of my creature cards will be taking out an oppenents permanent when entering the battlefield. So not only are my permanents growing, the opponents permanents are dwindling... Almost every turn.
This deck has a solid amount of combos with Liquimetal Coating.
Combos:
Liquimetal Coating or Myr Landshaper +
Splinter
to totally mana screw their entire deck. You can get this as early as turn 3... Ouch.
Deus of Calamity +
Tanglewalker
will create a chaotic amount of battlefield mana destruction.
Liquimetal Coating or Myr Landshaper + any creature card to screw... Well anything they have in play.
If you're willing to make this a more expensive deck, then Hellkite Tyrant + Mycosynth Lattice in addition to
Tanglewalker
is an automatic win. It's about 20 more dollars.
Well, that's it. I would like to go into more detail but it's pretty simple. Again, this is a cheap deck so if you have any cheap suggestions, let me know.
*** Working on sideboard. only have a shaky few. Any suggestions?
