Unblockable creatures. The most annoying thing in magic.
We've all played that game where the opponent has that one annoying little unblockable creature, be it Gudul Lurker or
Tormented Soul
, and just keeps pinging you 1 every single turn. And you just can't bring yourself to waste removal on it. And your going to die because of it. And it will be very slow. And very painful. And there's nothing you can do about it. ARRGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!*
But what if you could have more? An army of those creatures, pinging 2 or even 3 every turn!? It would be amazing! Devastating! INVINCIBLE!!!!!! This is how to play magic. This is how to win. THIS IS SPARTA!!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Oh. sorry. Anyways, here we go.
Oh, and by the way, It's even worse when you lose to a deck like this that costs $12.27 on tcg player, assuming you already have basic land. Enjoy!
The Deck, Version 1.0
The creatures:
Gudul Lurker: That one drop pinger i was talking about earlier. Extremely annoying and therefore extremely useful
Marang River Prowler
: Pretty standard unblockable-er (That's totally a word by the way), and ever present with a Silumgar Assassin. Also, 2 damage instead of one!
Triton Shorestalker
: un-megamorphable Gudul Lurker
Elusive Spellfist: there aren't many unblockable creatures, so this is about as good as it gets.
Bloodsoaked Champion: The perfect creature for triggering marang riverprowler, and very aggressive
Silumgar Assassin: I love this card. First and foremost because it looks cool. Seriously! Look at it again. All that text looks awesome. Secondly, it's a 2/1 basically unblockable, and a 3/2 that destroys lots of Collected Companyers. It doesn't get much better than this
Other Spells
Cloudform
: The two biggest problems of this deck are 1, it takes really long getting creatures out and attacking, and 2, everything is really subjective to removal.
Cloudform
is an answer to both. When I manifest, I either get a creature of the top of my deck a turn early, or get an extra creature that wouldn't have otherwise existed. And, they have hexproof. And flying.
Ultimate Price: removal
Reave Soul
: more removal, less conditional in some instances
Disperse
: temporary removal, and it hits everything
Send to Sleep
: taps two creatures for two turns with spell mastery trigger, for when I don't have any unblockabiliy going, or in the case of a major threat.
Sideboard
Ultimate Price: removal for heavy creature-based deck
Displacement Wave
: To defeat the dreaded. The hated. The evil. The Collected Company
That's all folks! Advice and +1's are appreciated! Thanks!
