the colors of bruises. This color combination is the epitome of secretive and obtaining knowledge they shouldn't. The Dimir guild perfectly embodies this with Dimir Signet 's flavor text:

"An emblem of a secret guild, the Dimir insignia is seen only by its own members—and the doomed."

These colors can have difficulty removing permanents unless it is a creature but they can steal anything from anywhere or just say no with Counterspell . This makes for a strong reactive offense but you must be ready for what your opponents are going to do.

Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow is not only cute but terrifyingly fast. She will cheat herself out over and over by bouncing one of your unblocked attacking creatures to your hand and placing herself into combat for a mere . She hits for a measly 1 damage but then triggers her second ability which revels the top card of your library and puts it into your hand and causes each opponent to lose life equal to the revealed cards CMC. Even better is that this effect will trigger for any ninja you control that hits an opponent for combat damage.

Fun fact about ninjas is they all have their own effect when they hit an opponent and now we are adding our commanders ability to that.

We can take this in a few directions. The first and likely more consistent is ninja tribal. The second is fewer ninjas and maybe even down to just the commander with a mid to high average CMC tribal. The first will focus on getting as many ninja triggers as possible the second will focus on getting a few Yuriko triggers that kill the whole table.

I've always liked ninjas ever since I played Kamigawa so I'm building to abuse all ninjas.

doesn't really accelerate mana outside of combos like Palinchron + Deadeye Navigator and tends towards just making more but this works just fine in a two color deck.

Something of note here is that we are bouncing are own creatures to play our ninjas through ninjutsu. So it is important that we get ahead on mana or we will lag behind in the game.

Caged Sun , Dowsing Dagger  , Sword of the Animist , and Omniscience will accelerate us quite quickly.

This is where this deck will really push ahead in the game. Even just using our commander we potentially draw a lot of cards.

With Deepfathom Skulker , Ninja of the Deep Hours , Thalakos Seer , Bident of Thassa , Rhystic Study , Kindred Discovery , and Coastal Piracy we should have plenty of draw to get us into a land every turn and gas to spend that mana on.

I also included some discard like Larceny and Okiba-Gang Shinobi .

Ninja tribal still doesn't really exist in numbers big enough to count as an EDH tribe, there are only 11 actual ninjas: Higure, the Still Wind , Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni , Mistblade Shinobi , Okiba-Gang Shinobi , Ninja of the Deep Hours , Sakashima's Student , Silent-Blade Oni , Skullsnatcher , Throat Slitter , Walker of Secret Ways and Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow .

You do have some worthwhile changelings to include if you want and Xenograft , Conspiracy , and Arcane Adaptation to make everything a ninja.

Each of the true ninjas has a nice "on combat damage to player" trigger and so the first things that take advantage of ninjas are Fireshrieker and Grappling Hook to double up on those triggers. Strionic Resonator works rather well too.

Because ninjas want you to use Ninjutsu which bounces your own creatures you either want cheap creatures or creatures that you want to play over and over. Inkfathom Infiltrator , Tormented Soul , and Slither Blade all work but so do Gonti, Lord of Luxury , Gray Merchant of Asphodel , Whirler Rogue , and Vela the Night-Clad .

Lastly "can't be blocked" is amazing in this sort of deck since you can't always get your ninjas through very easily you need things like Higure, the Still Wind and Thassa, God of the Sea .
