Against Esper Control
Here we still stay aggressive and get a pseudo Creature/Planeswalker that lives to board wipes and most removal.
Against Eldrazi Ramp
Ramp decks are almost impossible to slow down, so if you can't kill them before Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger or Dragonlord Atarka hits the board, use Deflecting Palm to (hopefully) finish them with 10 or 8 to the face.
Against 4 Color Mid Range; AKA Sacrifice Deck
Not all the Sacrifice decks run Rally the Ancestors or Collected Company but this is what we bring in when they do.
Against Atarka Red
This card shuts down the Become Immense and Temur Battle Rage combo much better than Burn options AND gets you 2 life.
Against RDW Burn
Against the more classic RDW Dromoka's Command will let you stop a Burn and take out one of there Creatures on a good day. Value.
