Also, copying doesn't work the way you implied it in the description. Zada reads that he copies the spell and designates the targets of the copies, but this isn't the same as casting it, so Prowess only triggers upon the initial cast of the spell, and not on the copies that Zada makes since he is putting copies of the spell directly on the stack. Another way to think of it is that prowess only sees when a physical instant/sorcery card is played.

Thanks HyperSloth for pointing that out. What would you suggest talking out or lowering to fit in Defiant Strike? I was thinking of lowering the amount of Become Immense, and getting rid of Evolutionary Leap.

How about the new card From Beyond? And I would suggest some defiant strikes in the mainboard.

I would have to do some play testing before I am sure whether or not to put From Beyond in or not. Thanks for the suggestion though.

The BFZ French spoiled card, Tactiques en Tandem, where target creature gets +1/+2, you gain two life, would be awesome. If you target Zada, only target that. If Zada isn't out it can be a multi-buff for two creatures.

Thanks for the suggestion Leudast I will put that in the sideboard. :)

when i saw zada i thought hed be nuts with Phalanx Leader maybe hed be usful here
September 15, 2015 6:52 p.m.
Sorry shadow63 Phalanx Leader will be rotating sadly.

I think Mighty Leap is more a sideboard card. Idd suggest Feat of Resistance. It will most likely make your creatures unblockable and makes your creatures stronger permanently. It is also more versatile since you can save your creatures better with it. Also I think Monastery Swiftspear is close to a must. It is so good here. Else youll get overrunned by more aggrasive decks. Since your first impactfull creature will most likely etb in turn 3 or 4. Another good creature here could be Seeker of the Way.

Here is my deck. Maybe we can help each other make our decks stronger!

Btw Phalanx Leader wont get triggered by the copy from Zada, Hedron Grinder. Sadly...
I think you might need some more removal...

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, this deck is shaping up nicely. Xydroth thanks for the the info, I believe it really helped the deck. I ended up dropping the green since it wasn't really doing much. I'm just worried about Languish now though and thoughts on that?
September 15, 2015 9 p.m.
For beating Languish, I would just put 2 more Valorous Stance in the sideboard. Also, have you considered using 2-3 copies of Gideon, Ally of Zendikar? I have also been looking into making this deck, and found that gideon was always able to supply me creatures for Zada, and even when I didn't need creatures, his +1 is very useful.
Mighty Leap is another amazing card for this deck, but it is based on preference. Personally, I enjoy using it because it gives my creatures evasion(with Zada of course) which can be very hard to deal with.
Hope this helps!

Btw, I didn't see that both mighty leap and Valorous stance are already in the side board, so sorry about that.

Not a problem seb9011 thanks for the suggestions though. I will take a look into Gideon, Ally of Zendikar.

Valorous Stance wont help against Languish. -4/-4 isnt damage. And thus Valorous Stance wont save your creatures from it. Just another reason why Languish is so damn powerfull. I try go get around it using a lot of prowess. Stance is still very usefull though. Since it will save your creatures from direct kill spell or lethal 'damage'. And it is great agaisnt midrange and control decks cuz it will kill a lot of their their creatures.

I knew Valorous Stance wouldn't save me from Languish, but thanks for pointing that out. I also agree with your second point Xydroth that prowess is probably my only chance. Thanks again. :)

Would a Heroic deck similar to this be viable just wondering cause wouldn't heroic trigger every time one of your buff spells copies with Zada?

Hey friend, i'm also looking at the potential Zada has as a combo strategy, but in my opinion the deck should be in the naya colors because the best pump spell for him is Become Immense, the dream being:
T5 Become Immense + Temur Battle Rage
BTW i don't really like Monastery Mentor here because his prowess monks can't attack the turn they trigger, making it so that you get a bunch of tokens on one turn, but on the next you have no spells to cast
Thanks

I have a similar idea for this deck, and agree with cudefogo about the Naya color scheme. Not because of Become Immense, but because of Titanic Growth and Might of the Masses. Titanic Growth cast on Zada = no one dies directly from Languish, and as long as there are 4 creatures on your board, Might of the Masses accomplishes the same for 1 colorless cheaper. Also Atarka's Command can get you out of some jams vs. lifegain or dragons.
Valorous Stance is particularly helpful against decks that have big creatures that you need to remove, but Enshrouding Mist will probably help more in mirror or control matches. So maybe sideboard that. Or, if you want to mainboard that and sideboard Valorous Stance so that you can be a bit more aggro in your first matchup, maybe add some renown creatures like Topan Freeblade, Scab-Clan Berserker, Citadel Castellan, maybe Consul's Lieutenant. The vigilence on Topan and Castellan could provide some defense too.
I'd still run Become Immense as a 1-of though. Maybe a single Rogue's Passage too, if your mana feels secure.

Thanks for all the suggestions!! I had the naya color scheme going for quite some time, and I was just trying out the boros color scheme.

Coat with Venom gets you out of languish. Of course, you could play a Duress as well.
September 17, 2015 11:26 p.m.
Zada is terrific. If your local meta plays a lot of Languish, since it's the weakness of this deck, ypu can think to go Mardu and put in the main or in the side some Duress and Mardu Ascendancy. If languish is not played too much, you can just go this way, the deck seems very good!

i think about almost the same deck
anyway i think you should find a place for Dragon Fodder and maybe Hordeling Outburst.

Don't forget about Defiant Strike. You will draw a card for each copy, essentially drawing cards equal to the amount of creatures you control as well as getting a buff.
