Sideboard


This is a W/G/R deck, this aggro deck utilizes a several good CiP abilities, while capitalizing on the extremely broken zealous conscripts/cloud shift ability to permanently control creatures yanked to your side of the board, creating a sweeping game changing effect. This Placed 32nd overall at the Omaha PTQ, and the original (tournament) constructed list and the modified list will appear here.

After playing this deck in the Omaha PTQ, we noticed that it had several deficiencies or just in general things that could play better, since we only placed 32nd overall.

Creatures: Geist-Honored Monk adjusted to 0 moved to sideboard. Fiend Hunter adjusted to 0, 2 moved to sideboard Zealous Conscripts increased to 3. Blade Splicer no change Borderland Ranger no change Birds of Paradise no change Avacyn's Pilgrim adjusted to 2 Restoration Angel no change Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip no change Acidic Slime added 2, replaced the Geist-Honored Monk

Spells: Incinerate kept at 4 Cloudshift kept at 4 Pillar of Flame increased to 3, replacing one Avacyn's Pilgrim and 2 Fiend Hunters

Round 1 at Omaha PTQ vs U/W Delver (2-0) Game 1 & 2: Zealous Conscripts and Cavern of Souls shut down delver, allowing to yank swords and Consecrated Sphinx for winning.

Round 2 vs Mono-White Humans (0-2) Game 1: Out raced, anthems. Game 2: Mana flooded, inability to maintain creature drops.

Round 3 vs U/R Delever (2-1) Game 1: Victory, Cloudshift a Blade Splicer for 3/3 golems to run train. Game 2: Miracle Bonfire of the Damned said I lost. Game 3: Geist-Honored Monk wins games.

Round 4 vs R/G Aggro (2-0) Game 1: Out paced with Cloudshift on bladesplicer Game 2: Zealous Conscripts takes Wolfir Silverheart for win.

Round 5 vs R/G Aggro (1-2) Game 1: Outpaced R/G for the win. Game 2: Hellrider wins it for R/G Game 3: No red mana source, mana base adjusted because of this.

Round 6 vs Tezzeret (1-2) Game 1: Out paced for the win. Game 2: double Black Sun's Zenith and Batterskull said I lose. Game 3: Curse of Death's Hold and Pristine Talisman give Tezz the win.

Round 7 vs Boros Humans (2-0) Game 1: Clutch Incinerate on Silverblade Paladin and Fiend Hunter Hero of Bladehold give Zealous Shift the win. Game 2: No double white for Boros Humans, which says, I lose, here you go Zealous Shift, break .500.
