This is my first deck posted on this site so hopefully it's not terrible.

American Control is one of my favorites just due to the amount of utility that comes with the color combo. If you pair that with a commander that let's you draw cards and gain life it's a bit broken. Zedruu comes off as a "Oh, you missed a land drop? I have some extra lands that I'm not using so here." Both benefit! But in reality it more like "I cast oblivion ring targeting your win-con creature. Oh, and if that wasn't enough here's the thing that has your awesome creature and it does nothing! Muwahaha! Thanks for the cards and life buddy!" Let's go into detail about this high blood pressure inducing deck:

-The main win conditions are gonna be resolving Gisela, Blade of Goldnight or Aurelia, the Warleader, ulting a planeswalker, Assemble the Legion + Purphoros, God of the Forge , or making an opponent scoop due to lock down.

-I'm running a Sunforger suite of 10 spells and with a Mistveil Plains you have a lot of utility and protection in general

-Your two lock down pieces are Steel Golem and Pyromancer's Swath. Swath for control deck and Golem for creature based strategies. Very devastating when you can get both one one person and a Sunforger.

-Skullclamp does work in this deck with things like Springjack Pasture, Kher Keep, Assemble the Legion, and Elspeth, Sun's Champion. This gives you massive card draw to find what you need.
