Dang. You're Zedruu is very controlling. Mine focuses more on just creating an insanely complicated board state.

The deck is based off of countless games where everyone tries to kill me. People "thought" it was the crazy insane chaos version of Zedruu so they always went after me. So slowly I transitioned from a nice normal deck to a lock / prison type of deck. I tend to make any deck I am planning on keeping around with the following mindset:

  1. If you can't not lose all the time, start by making sure others can't win all of the time.
  2. If others can't win all of the time make sure they can't win any of the time.
  3. Make sure you win all of the time.

Lost to a deck like this...in the end I was playing with...well...I don't know what I was playing with, but it was not my own deck :)I sort of miss Confusion in the Ranks in your deck

Confusion in the Ranks looks pretty powerful. The trick for me will be whether or not I can make sure I always benefit from it. For sure it's better than Armageddon here though. I'm testing for now.

Your custom categories are rather confusing, as you often list more than one copy of a card in the deck. I would suggest revamping your categories to simplify for critique.

@ aeonstoremyliver - Over the next few days I'll try setting up custom categories so a card only goes into one of the following:

  • Control
  • Lockdown
  • Tax
  • Card Advantage
  • Gift
  • Win Condition

It'll be weird to even have custom categories though as I only play cards that fulfill multiple roles. I might do away with them. I'll try simplifying it first though.

With ought the ABUR duals I had a hard time casting Celestial Dawn on turn 3. I realize that's not the best time to cast it but there are times when that's all that I have for <4. I'll test it out again but the color requirements are also a bit of a problem (similar to Stasis Snare in that regard)

A big reason for it might be your land count. 32 seems just too low. I'd go for somewhere around 36 to 40 especially if you want to be able to donate stuff right after you cast them.

A good land count not only helps with the mana fix, but also helps you maximize the card advantage Zedruu provides.

While land screw does happen I find myself worse off when I flood, which still happens enough to be problematic.

If I were to put in more lands these are what I would take out:
Soulfire Grand Master for land.

Fellwar Stone + Venser's Journal for land and Thought Vessel

Overwhelming Denial for land.

Except for overwhelming denial all of the other ones have won me a lot of games.

With Stasis Snare and Celestial Dawn though it's really a matter of color screw or bad split that hurts though, not land count.

Dack Fayden is easier to cast and he lets me see tons of cards, and I say that after using him for a lot of games, so I think he's a better fit than either.

Also I can't drop the Karoo lands but they really hurt the check lands so I could really use some dual land suggestions incase I change out any of the above cards for lands.
